Raw nut butters discounted through NaturalNews: Almond, cashew, macadamia, tahini and more

by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor

(NaturalNews) Raw nut butters are available now at discounted prices for NaturalNews readers, and we have just introduced a new mechanism allowing our readers to vote and rate approved vendors whose products appear on NaturalNews.com.

This is all part of our new "Real-Time Marketplace" technology that you can see below, at the bottom of this article. It displays, in real time, raw nut butters available from approved vendors. Prices and availability are shown in real time.

Why raw nut butters?

Raw nut butters are vastly superior to processed, pasteurized nut butters in terms of nutritional content. Heat pasteurization destroys proteins and phytonutrients, but it extends shelf life which is one reason why manufacturers love to use pasteurization.

Many store-bought pasteurized nut butters are also formulated with partially-hydrogenated oils in order to make them more "solid" and avoid oil separation. This, of course, transforms such butters (such as peanut butter) into molecular poisons containing trans fats.

Health-conscious eaters are increasingly turning to raw nut butters in order to avoid pasteurization and hydrogenation.

My favorite raw nut butters: Almond, cashew and macadamia

I've tried all kinds of raw nut butters over the years, and my favorites are:

Almond butter: It's rich, dark and loaded with health-protective nutrients. It's great in a sandwich, on toast, or as part of a dipping sauce recipe!

Cashew butter: This is the sweetest, creamiest nut butter you'll ever try. It's almost silky smooth, and the natural sweetness of cashews makes this taste like dessert all by itself. I love this on crackers or sprouted grain breads.

Macadamia butter: Mac nuts are some of my very favorite (right up there with pecans), and mac nut butter is extraordinary in its flavor and richness. It isn't cheap, of course, but eating macadamia nut butter is a taste luxury that's well worth the cost, I think you'll agree.

Other nut butters you may enjoy include Pistachio, Pumpkin, Hazelnut and of course Tahini, a calcium-rich butter made from sesame seeds.
