Fruit in Europe Contains Illegal Pesticide Levels

by Kim Evans

(NaturalNews) Recently the European Pesticides Residues Committee tested 4,000 fruits and veggies and found that a number of them contained more than the legal amount of pesticides. The levels of pesticides varied considerably, and imported fruits and vegetables were found to have the highest quantity.

Apples, peas, yams, tomatoes, grapes, Chinese cabbage, cucumber, melon, oranges, spinach, potatoes, and pears were all found to have illegal levels of pesticides. Many of the foods contained multiple pesticides and it's not possible to test for all of the pesticides in use. The Food Standards Agency insisted that illegal levels of pesticides on foods don't necessarily mean that the food is unsafe to eat.

Most all apples and bananas supplied to school children had some form of pesticide in them, and it's believed that children are more susceptible to harm from pesticides than adults. But, it's foolish to assume that anyone is immune from regularly eating various combinations of bug and weed killer.

The chairman of the European Pesticides Residues Committee, Dr. Ian Brown, said, "I understand that people are concerned about pesticide residues in their food, but as a doctor I cannot state too strongly the importance of eating at least five portions of fruit and vegetables a day. Scientific evidence shows that the health benefits are far greater than the risk from pesticide residues."

In truth, he is correct. If you're not eating fruits and vegetables, what are you eating? Processed foods? High quantities of animals, when by high estimates the human body needs 10-15 percent protein, and more likely only 2-3 percent? Sugared and carbohydrate-rich foods, which feed a common fungal problem called candida overgrowth?

Not only are the quality of those foods inferior, but their ingredients are also generally grown with pesticides and their ingredients regularly include other chemicals. Of course the fresh produce is going to win out and the more of your diet that is fresh produce, the better off you'll be.

But it doesn't change the fact that pesticides are associated with many health problems and when it comes down to it, people shouldn't be consuming weed or bug killing chemicals on any sort of regular basis. Yet, they are.

Pesticides are found in the blood of most every human. It's not normal, it's not natural, and it's only been the case in the last century. Depression, fibromyalgia, cancer, chronic fatigue, nerve damage, Parkinson's disease, immune deficiencies, intestinal disease, damage to the reproductive system, neurological problems, attention deficit, infertility, hyperactivity, violence, mental disease, schizophrenia, learning disabilities, the inability to handle stress, and hormonal disruption that leads to gender confusion and loss of normal parental instincts have all been found to be associated with chemical pesticides, that are currently or have been at one time approved for use.

If We Can't Detoxify Them, They Accumulate

The problem with chemical pesticides is that our body's normal detoxification methods, don't detoxify them thoroughly. So, we end up accumulating pesticides in our bodies over time, and this is when the problems start.

The fact is the accumulation of pesticides is the real problem, and it's the reason the short-term tests that chemical companies run don't show anywhere near the problems they create. Chemical companies use these tests to get government approval to put them on our food and in our air; they are also the backing of continual assertions that pesticides are harmless inside of us.

Chemical pesticides are considered necessary for food growth these days; the assumption is that all the brilliant minds around the world can't come up with something both effective and non-toxic, which is absurd. But tons of money is dumped into finding chemical-based "solutions," and very little into finding non-toxic solutions. We keep looking in the wrong direction, thinking it's the only viable one, and people are paid handsomely to do so.

The fact that we all have bug killer in our blood, starting from the time we are born, doesn't seem to be factored into the standard health care equation. Neither does the fact that, deep detoxification, or removing those poisons from our bodies, would actually be the first step in creating health.

People have a minimum of hundreds, if not thousands, of chemical poisons in their blood these days. As damaging as pesticides are, they are just the beginning of our chemical contamination problem.

Apples are regularly sprayed with pesticides 14 times each growing season. Animals are often dipped in or have pesticides sprayed on them. In 2002, the United States used 30 times more pesticides than it did in 1945.

Developing countries use pesticides found to be so dangerous that they've been banned in many developed countries, but then food grown with these pesticides is imported into developed countries. The U.S. is responsible for selling many of these banned pesticides to developing countries.

Even organic foods these days can have pesticide contamination, but they're still the best option around, unless you grow your own food in non-contaminated soil. The real problem is that the folks in charge of our food supply don't seem to care if we're being poisoned in the process. With that, something's gotta change.

About the author

Kim Evans is a natural health writer and author of Cleaning Up! The Ultimate Body Cleanse. Cleaning Up! offers deep cleansing and using methods in this book, people have gotten rid of dozens of different types of health problems, as well as just losing excess weight, thinking more clearly, and feeling better.

Kim's next book chronicles events in her life that happen to match patterns in the Bible. She's also found three places in the Bible that tell us its about these patterns and even asking you to match them.
Here's a little from the upcoming book...
In Isaiah 22:20, it says, "And it must occur in that day that I will call my servant, namely Eliakim." But, because these prophecies are cryptic and they aren't meant to be understood until they are understood, it's only the last three letters.
A few lines later, it says, "From the land of Kittim it has been revealed to them."
Here, you just take out any three middle letters, and again, it's the name of the person bringing you this message, or the sacred secret of the prophecy. Actually, if you take those two passages, Kim is about the only name you can get from both of them.
In Numbers 1:1 1:18, it's talking about "the family" and mentions Pagiel. It also twice mentions February 1st, (Kim's birthday) and then says that the youngest is 20 years old. Kim's little sister Paige is currently 20 years old.
In Chronicles 1 11:20 it mentions the brother of Joab and then in the same sentence uses the word brandishing. Kim's middle name is Jo and her older sister's name is Brandi. There are other patterns to her sisters too but these sort of mention them by name.
Of course, it helps if you know that there is a magical spiritual reality available that comes deep cleansing and often major dietary upgrades. It's also why Jesus was teaching the same thing, if you find his teachings in the Essene Gospel of Peace. In this text, he even says things like, "You'll never see the father unless you clean your colon." But, this is paraphrased...
In the Bible Jesus says things more like, happy are those who wash their robes, as they can enter the tree of life. The tree of life is elsewhere explained as God's paradise. He also said, first clean the inside of the cup and then the outside will also be clean.
