The DIY automation and surveillance package lets users watch real-time images or video of movements in the house through eight cameras. Users must have access to a telephone line or the internet.
- INTEGRATED security systems manufacturer iNix Technologies Holdings Bhd expects to generate RM25 million in sales next year upon expanding into the retail and local residential markets.
- The group, which previously focuses more on the export market and project-based contracts for security system installation, is now venturing into the retail market with the introduction of its Do-It-Yourself (DIY) security panel.
- It is looking at a 50:50 revenue breakdown from its contract-based and retail segments respectively next year.
- iNix aims to sell 25,000 units of the DIY security panel per year.
- Retailed at RM1,299 per unit, the DIY security panel offers a security, automation and surveillance package where users may watch real-time image or video movements in the house.
- This is possible as long as users have access to a telephone line or the Internet via a PDA, computer or mobile devices.
- "Consumers are becoming more alert now especially with the growing cases of domestic abuse by maids.
- Through this system, they can monitor their maid at home," marketing arm of iNix Technology, SAV System Integrators Sdn Bhd general manager Vanita Suzanne told reporters after the launch of its Secure Smith Damansara outlet in Kuala Lumpur last Saturday.
- The outlet is located in Kayu Ara Business Centre, which displays its security system and other product offerings under the group.
- It currently has one in Johor, three in the Klang Valley and one in Beijing, China.
- iNix business development manager Yew Eng Teik said the company will also market its products to the small and medium industry players to keep tabs on the going-ons in their office.
- "Our products are locally made, that's why we can offer such competitive prices," he said adding that iNix Technology also offers a full-fledged digital home security system that may cost up to RM20,000.
