As general manager, Krail's responsibilities will include the oversight and management of both the Dietary Supplement Ingredient (DS) and Healthy Food Ingredient (HFI) businesses in Australia and New Zealand. He will provide local leadership and business development support to existing business and will also be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities that exist in the Australian market for Omega-3s. ONC will continue to use Pacific Resources International (PRI), based in Neutral Bay, as their local distributor and sales support for their product ranges.
Prior to joining ONC, Krail was general manager of Nutrition Imports Pty Ltd., which is an Australian distributor for nutritional food and sports nutrition products including the Atkins range of food products. Throughout his career, he was also the general manager and CEO at Healthy Life Pty Ltd. and the general manager of Functional Foods at the H.J. Heinz Company. Krail came to Australia in 1989 as the area director of the Asia/Pacific division at The NutraSweet Company.
“Over the last two years we have built up a sizeable business for both our fish oils into fish oil capsules and our microencapsulated Omega-3 powder as healthy food ingredients for products in Australia. Krail holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the United States Air Force Academy and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado. He also has a diploma in physical education and sports nutrition.
