Hi-tech Solutions has announced the launch of its new product called the Docu Scan Pen.
Docu Scan Pen is priced at Rs 13,500 and according to the company, is the smallest handheld portable scanner.
It can capture words and graphics, and store up to 100 pages of scanned documents in text form, with OCR software.
Viewing these pages requires a simple connection to any Windows PC.
Hi-Tech's Docu Scan Pen is 8.5 inches x 0.5 inches in size and weighs about 56 gms.
It uses re-chargeable lithium-ion batteries that company sources claim, will help the product remain continuously charged without utilizing a separate charging unit.
Once a user plugs the gadget into a computer's USB port to download the scanned information, the scanner's batteries are automatically re-charged.
Hi-Tech's Docu Scan Pen offers a dual-roller guiding system, that includes strategically placed rollers around the scanner lens, to distribute the operator's pressure evenly for smooth and easy scans.
Using its optical timing and registration system technology, the Docu Scan Pen is able to create an accurate scan.
