American Diabetes Association partners with soda and candy company

The American Diabetes Association recently announced a three-year, multi-million dollar alliance with Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverage, the third-largest soda and candy manufacturer in the world. CSAB announced it was joining the ADA to help fight obesity and diabetes in America. As part of the agreement, CSAB will sponsor America's Walk for Diabetes and the Weight Loss Matters initiative. In return, the ADA has given permission for its logo to be placed on CSAB's diet soda products.
