People who suffer from occasional moodiness during dark winter months (a condition known as seasonal affective disorder) may benefit as much from light treatments as they do from standard antidepressants, a new study shows. North Carolina researchers found that sitting in front of a special light box each day during the winter helped patients as much as any pill did.
