Vision loss linked to Viagra use in 14 cases

Fourteen men who took Viagra have developed a condition known as nonarteritic ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), a condition that can cause permanent loss of vision. The men developed symptoms of blurred vision and vision loss from 24 to 36 hours after using the erection drug. Researchers believe that heart disease risk factors are strongly correlated to developing NAION.
