Garbanzo beans, otherwise known as chickpeas or ceci beans, are an excellent source of many vitamins and minerals, as well as a tasty addition to your menu. Dried beans simply need to be soaked for a few hours in cold water, then cooked for another hour in order to be ready to eat. Once they are ready, they can be used to make hummus or added to chili or soup, or they can be eaten on their own.
