Mind and body need exercise to stay healthy in old age

Experts say now that memory loss is not inevitable, as are some aspects of old age. If the mind is kept sharp with frequent use, such as at Connie Lynch's weekly "Mind Works" class at the El Cerrito Senior Center, memory loss is not inevitable. At Lynch's class the elderly can keep their mind agile with logic puzzles, tile sorting and word games. Lynch says that, "old age is not an excuse. As long as your brain is healthy, there is no excuse."
