Latest diet trend in Britain comes to the US
by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor
The glycemic-index diet, or “GI diet”, has been sweeping Britain for the past few months, and has arrived in the United States on the back of some high-profile figures, including actress Kim Cattrell and, reportedly, former president Bill Clinton. Unlike the Atkins diet, which bans virtually all carbohydrates, the glycemic-index diet says there are some “good” carbs out there, and including good fruits and vegetables.
There's a new diet sweeping Great Britain and it already has some big name followers in the US as well.
It's called the GI diet, which stands for glycemic index.
Followers reportedly include former President Bill Clinton, actress Kim Cattrall and super model Naomi Campbell.
The diet distinguishes between "good" carbohydrates and "bad" carbohydrates as opposed to the Atkins diet, that says all carbohydrates are "bad" for losing weight.
It allows more fruits and beans than Atkins.
