New sugar claims to offer all the benefits of regular sugar without the drawbacks

by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor

Shugr, a new, all-natural sugar product developed by Swiss Research of California, is about to launch in the U.S. market. Shugr is made from erythritol, maltodexterin and tagatose, which occur naturally in other sweeteners. Swiss Research says that Shugr looks and tastes just like cane sugar, and can be used the same way in cooking and baking -- with 0 calories. The company plans to introduce Shugr in 3,000 retail stores in the spring of 2005.
