Laughter really is good medicine, research shows; participants had more relaxed blood vessels after watching comedy

by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor

Research from the University of Maryland shows that a good laugh can actually be good for the heart. Study participants who saw scenes from the comedy movie Kingpin had more relaxed blood vessels and increased blood flow through their arteries than they did after watching the war film Saving Private Ryan. The scientists say laughing reduces mental stress which generally constricts blood flow through the arteries.
