Family stress can trigger diabetes in infants, new study says

Researchers have found that stressful family situations can cause some infants to develop diabetes. Of 4400 one-year-old children examined in a recent Chinese study, the babies whose parents reported the most household stress were also most likely to have diabetes. Scientists say they are not sure why the correlation exists, but it is significant enough to deserve much further study.
