Dell offers $10,000 grant to universities recycling computers

In an effort to encourage the recycling of computers, and the reduction of wasted computers, Dell is providing a $10,000 grant to universities who engaged in computer-recycling programs during spring semester. The University of California, the University of Colorado and Miami Dade University all received the grant, and conducted computer-collection events at the end of the semester. As part of the grant, the winners will also receive technical assistance in planning their recycling events. According to Dell, its goal is raise awareness of responsible ways to dispose of old computers.
