Fish oils can help lower blood fat levels, study concludes

A new study says oils from high-fat fish like salmon and mackerel may be helpful for diabetics. The oils were found to lower levels of harmful fats that cause trouble in a diabetic's blood. At the same time, the oils also led to an increase in "good" blood cholesterol. Fish oils cannot yet be called a panacea, though; they showed no ability to break up "bad" cholesterol, the study says.
