Fluoride in instant tea leads to Missouri woman's bone disease

A woman in suburban St. Louis developed a rare bone disease because she drank too much instant tea. The disease is caused by an excess amount of fluoride and its most common in rural parts of Asia where fluoride in the ground leaks into water wells. Doctors say the disease only occurs in people who consume well more than the government recommended levels of fluoride. The average consumer should not worry, they say.
