Scientists at Bristol University have analyzed and reproduced a Roman face cream found in an archeological dig in London. The face cream's components were analyzed and then the substance was recreated; when applied, it created smooth white skin with a powdery texture. The small tin of face cream found in the dig is the first and thus far only intact cosmetic from the Roman era.
