Large chunks of aloe vera gel can literally be packed inside wounds such as gunshot wounds or tissue tears. Placed directly on or in the wound, it kills bacteria, prevents infection and actually nourishes the traumatized tissues while sealing the wound against outside infection. Nothing beats aloe for emergency trauma medicine. If the U.S. military had any sense, they'd be carrying aloe vera leaves around to treat soldiers suffering from shrapnel wounds and explosion burns. |

Cracks, wounds, and lesions appear at various locations.
Smaller blood vessel injuries are dealt with by blood platelets. These tiny blood components release the hormone serotonin, which helps to constrict the blood vessels and reduce bleeding. However, larger wounds, as are typically found in diseased coronary arteries, cannot be sealed by platelets alone; they require the body's more complex process of blood clotting. If a blood clot breaks loose, it can enter the heart and result in myocardial infarction, commonly called a heart attack. A clot that reaches the brain results in a stroke. |

Beyond all that, I believe this VRCR device has application in terms of stimulating blood flow and accelerating the healing of wounds, whether they involve skin, tendons, ligaments, or even bones. It is well known in the scientific community that electromagnetic energy can help accelerate the healing of bone injuries, it's also known as mentioned previously, that infrared light can help accelerate the healing of flesh wounds. |

For instance, researchers from the Center for Advanced Wound Care in Reading, Pennsylvania, have discovered that patients with slow-healing wounds often have negative thought patterns and behavioral or emotional wounds, such as guilt, anger, and lack of self-worth.33
The same effect can occur with negative relationships. A recent study of couples showed that the stress of reliving an argument delays wound healing by at least a day. |

How could a man's beliefs be so powerful that they could manifest as the physical wounds that I was seeing on his body? I'd later discover that there were additional wounds on his feet and torso, all matching those of Christ following the crucifixion described in the Gospels.
What was it about an event that happened 2,000 years ago that could influence this man so powerfully today? Or, more precisely, what was it about this man's feelings regarding that event that had such an impact on his life? |

BURN/WOUND-HEALING: Russian scientists have found that the antioxidants and natural enzymes in papaya can accelerate the healing of burns and wounds. Rats treated with papaya-based medicine had wounds that were half the size of those not given the treatment.
DECREASED RISK OF AGE-RELATED MACULAR DEGENERATION: Phytochemicals such as lutein, cryptoxanthin, and zeaxanthin, present in papaya, may help maintain better eyesight longer in older people.
Tips on Using Papaya
SELECTION AND STORAGE:
• Papayas that are hard and green are immature and will never properly ripen. |

Animals were given either aloe (100 mg/kg body weight) in their drinking water for two months or 2 5 percent aloe vera cream applied directly to wounds for six days. Aloe had positive effects in both cases. The size of wounds decreased 62 percent in the animals taking oral aloe compared to a 51 percent decrease in the control group. Topical aloe produced a 51 percent decrease in wound size compared to a 33 percent decrease in the control group.
Aloe decreases surgical recovery time, according to a report in the Journal of Derm otologic Surgery and Oncology. |

When that happens, your body sends lousy LDL cholesterol (remember it by its first initial) to those damaged areas in an attempt to heal the wounds. Your immune cells in the damaged area swallow up the LDL cholesterol and burrow into the inner layer of your arteries.
Your body then reacts to the wounds and the cholesterol with a low-grade inflammation. Makes sense: Inflammation is how your immune system deals with many problems, like splinters, unwanted bacteria, insect venom, or other foreign invaders. |

Gotu kola - also called marsh penny, Indian pennywort, and British pennywort - helps in the treatment of scars and wounds with infections that have not yet reached the bone. The herb can be used both internally and externally while components of gotu kola have been shown to increase levels of antioxidants and help repair connective tissues.

For first aid: I've used this tincture on scrapes and wounds as a simple antibacterial cleanser. There are no chemical first aid products in my house; I've thrown them all out and replaced them with herbal products (or aloe vera). This Power Immune is one of my favorites. I consider it a first aid antibacterial product. Of course, it does contain alcohol (a natural part of the tincture), which means it's going to burn a bit on open wounds, but the alcohol adds yet another layer of antibacterial activity.

In an ingenious study by Ohio State University College of Medicine, the researchers gathered together 42 married couples and inflicted small wounds with a tiny puncture device on one partner of each pair. During the first sessions, the partners held a conflict-free, constructive discussion, and the wound healing was carefully timed. Several months later, the researchers repeated the injury, but this time allowed the partners to raise an ongoing contentious issue, such as money or in-laws. This time, the wounds took a day longer to heal. |
| The phenomenon of stigmata, in which religious fervor produces blood, bruising, or wounds on people's hands, feet, and sides that mirror the wounds of Christ during his crucifixion, are a form of intention. The Association for the Scientific Study of Anomalous Phenomena has recorded at least 350 such instances of stigmata resulting from identification with Christ. Saybrook University psychologist Stanley Krippner and his colleagues witnessed this firsthand with Brazilian sensitive Amyr Amiden. |

This device emits energy in a frequency that you can tune and apply directly to wounds or any kind of injury as a healing therapy, so it may indeed help accelerate the healing process. I must emphasize that this is still very much experimental technology and it should never be used for a replacement for any urgent care. |

Electromagnetic energy affects every living system, and light is only one narrow band of the electromagnetic spectrum. This includes people like John Sarno, an expert in mind-body health, and Richard Gerber, the author of "Vibrational Medicine. |

Silica deficiency can result in reduced skin elasticity and can hamper the body's ability to heal wounds. Food sources of silica include leeks, green beans, garbanzo beans, strawberries, cucumber, mango, celery, asparagus and rhubarb. In its natural form, silica is found in the horsetail herb. Silica is also available as a concentrated liquid supplement from Eidon Ionic Minerals (www.eidon.com)

Phototherapy can also help wounds heal quickly. Various phototherapy devices use infrared LED lights to bathe the wound in healing light. The cellular DNA responds by speeding up the repair process.
Avoid junk food during the healing process, especially processed fats such as hydrogenated oils and homogenized milk fats. They interfere with healthy cell wall construction.
Colloidal silver can be used topically to prevent infections. It works better than antibiotics and offers no opportunity for bacteria to build up resistance. |
| Good nutrition and supplementation helps ensure that small wounds heal quickly. Healthy immune systems also protect you from infection. In addition, the following herbs and supplements are well known for helping the body heal more quickly following surgery or trauma.
Zinc: Best taken prior to surgery, zinc reduces wound healing time, rapidly reduces wound size, and bolsters immune function to help ward off infection. Topical zinc, such as calamine lotion, also inhibits bacteria growth on the surface of skin, helping to prevent infection. |
| Chlorella: Japanese studies have found Chlorella Growth Factor (CGF) to be especially effective in speeding up cell growth, a major factor in the natural repair of wounds. Various other studies reveal CGF helps heal ulcers and promote bone and muscle growth. When taken internally, it also acts as an immune-booster. Topically, it functions as a protective cleansing compound for skin.
Chlorella is found in numerous superfood products, including Rejuvenate! from Health Products Distributors, Inc. at http://www.IntegratedHealth. |

Extensive research since the 1930's has shown that the clear gel has a dramatic ability to heal wounds, ulcers and burns by putting a protective coating on the affected areas and speeding up the healing rate. |
| I've been known to pack small chunks of aloe vera gel inside wounds that ultimately healed with zero scarring. As the aloe vera dries, it actually contracts, pulling the wound shut and keeping it completely free of dangerous bacteria. Plus, it provides nourishment to the wound tissue itself. It's also perfect for use on animals, because if they lick the wound, they won't be licking the toxic chemicals found in most first aid products.
Now, I don't mean to imply that aloe vera is a replacement for an emergency room. |

Gel concentrate vs. "whole leaf" supplements
Whole leaf aloe vera supplements have been available on the market for a long time, but many of the common aloe vera supplements are a bit misleading, in my opinion. |
