1 cup quinoa V2 cup rice milk
2 cups water 1 tablespoon maple syrup
Salt Pineapple bits, toasted shredded
V2 cup chopped apples, pears, coconut, and/or V2 teaspoon raisins, soaked almonds, or cinnamon, for garnish (optional) dates (optional)
Rinse 1 cup of quinoa and drain. Place the quinoa in a saucepan over a high heat, add the water and salt, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Add whatever fruit you desire and continue to simmer until all the water is absorbed. |

Grandma's Chicken Soup Recipe
Here's a recipe for chicken soup, adapted from the one Stephen Rennard and his wife made in their kitchen. Other versions of chicken soup also are effective, including many that are store bought.*
3 large onions
1 large sweet potato 3 parsnips
2 turnips
11 to 12 large carrots
1 (5- to 6-pound [2.3 to 2.7 kg]) stewing hen or baking chicken
1 (1-pound [455 g]) package of chicken wings 5 or 6 celery stems 1 bunch of parsley Salt and pepper to taste
Chop the onions. Leaving the skin on, chop the sweet potato, parsnips, turnips, and carrots. Set aside. |

There is a recipe for living well past 100 years of age and for enjoying life with a clear mind during each of those 100-plus years.
That recipe is essentially everything that I'm talking about here in my articles, books and reports. Asian Cucumber Salad
Serves 1
Tobin Jutte developed this recipe while participating in one of Daniella's detox workshops. After drinking his Indian Springs Cucumber Lemon Water, he found that the crisp cucumber slices could be made into a salad.
1 cucumber, peeled and sliced V4 cup water
1 tablespoon chopped red bell 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup pepper Pinch of five-spice powder and
% cup rice wine vinegar cayenne pepper (optional)
Combine all ingredients in a bowl, let stand for 15 minutes, and serve. |
| Some are very hot and overpower the recipe. Touch the pepper with a fork and touch your tongue to the fork. This will you give you an idea of how hot your pepper is. Adjust the amount of pepper accordingly. It is also a good idea to taste the onion before adding it. The age and type of onion will alter the intensity. If you have a particularly strong onion just reduce the quantity. |

I'm not much of a cook, so I got some recipe books out and tried creating some vegan dishes. As someone who would swing through McDonald's or heat up a frozen dinner, I found it annoying to have to cook meals each evening. At least half of them were a disaster and had to be thrown out. Apple Lemonade
Serves 1
You can add cucumber or celery to this recipe to increase the electrolytes. Any apple variety will be delicious in this juice combination but Fuji apples are exceptionally tasty.

I often describe this by saying there is a recipe for health. There also is a recipe for disease, and I even wrote a couple of satire articles on how to give yourself cancer or diabetes by following the health "recipe" of most Americans. It may seem like an odd thing to write about, but the point is to show that if you wanted to give yourself diabetes, there are certain steps you can take. Almost everyone in this country is following those steps right now, as if they were intending to give themselves diabetes. |

Hair tonic: There are many different recipes available for hair tonics that combine herbal medicines with other ingredients to create a mixture that promotes strong, healthy hair.
