No longer dependent on blood pressure medication, I use red yeast rice, lecithin, red and green powders, fish oil, vitamins, garlic supplements, organically grown produce, and pure water. Food never tasted better. Exercise strengthens my body and mind. A clean, pure diet made these years pleasurable emotionally and physically.

I listened to Gary's radio show and read Gary's books to get a jump start before entering a support group in November 1999.1 was a musician who weighed 155 pounds.
Now I weigh 145 pounds. I am organic, juicing, and using pure water. |

You should drink pure water, either distilled or filtered through a reverse osmosis type filter. Only these two methods of water purification can remove fluoride. If you decide on reverse osmosis, you will have to change the filter every three months, because the fluoride eats little holes in the filter, destroying its effectiveness. After you filter your water through the reverse osmosis filter you will also need to filter it once again through a regular filter. Isn't it nice that the government has made you go to all this trouble and expense just to have a drink of pure water? |

I continued to drive, transfixed by this image, and when I returned home, the epiphany continued as I was told by Marble Mountain that I was to apprentice with him and the Heart Spring (the pure water spring outside my door that I had already begun to learn from). He is the masculine aspect of the teachings and the spring is the feminine aspect of the teachings. The teachings were to begin with the heart, and I was to learn to "be love." This most profound communication had come from my willingness to open to an experience of wonder and to receive the gift it had to offer. |

In fact, the presence of small amounts of glucose and sodium tend to slightly increase the rate of water absorption compared with pure water. It must be emphasized here that the addition of sodium and other electrolytes to sports drinks is to increase palatability, maintain thirst (and therefore promote drinking), prevent hyponatremia, and increase the rate of water uptake, rather than to replace the electrolyte losses through sweating. Replacement of the electrolytes lost in sweat can normally wait until the postexercise recovery period.

Here is a summary;
It was discovered that by having patients consume nothing but pure water in a supervised environment of complete rest, blood pressures rapidly normalized. In fact, many patients who began their fasts while on high blood pressure drugs were required to quickly discontinue their medications, so that their blood pressures would not drop artificially low!
... The treatment procedure included an average water-only fasting period of 10.6 days, followed by a supervised re-feeding period of about one week with a whole, natural foods diet. |
| The body produces healthy, good looking skin in response to a healthy diet that is rich in enzymes, vitamins, minerals, oils and fiber, and adequate quantities of pure water. It also requires exercise, rest, moderate exposure to the sun, and efficient elimination. The same factors also apply to healthy hair and a scalp that is free of dandruff. One should avoid harsh or medicated shampoos, hair treatments, dyes, hot temperatures from hair dryers and curlers, and too frequent washing of hair, as these are all stressful to the hair and scalp. |
| If for some reason, the mother is unable to breast feed the infant for long, the next best substitute is raw goat's milk mixed with equal parts of fresh carrot juice, juice from a stick of celery, and pure water. Cow milk is not recommended, even raw, because it is too high in calcium and protein, in addition to its acid-alkaline balance being wrong. Pasteurized products should not be fed to babies, while canned formulas should only be used as a last resort. These are dead, mucus-producing foods; they precipitate sinus problems, ear infections, allergies, and lung disorders. |
| Periodically fast for a day or so on pure water, fresh juices, or watermelon. This gives the organs of digestion, assimilation, and elimination a chance to rest and rebuild. Consume fresh raw fruit and vegetable juices. Eat only foods that you could enjoy as a one-item meal. Read food product labels, including those from health food stores, to check for the presence of additives. Avoid those with non-food names.
Fry and cook sparingly. Only use water or broth. Do not cook with fats or oils at high heat. |
| Additional fiber, from psyllium husks or flax seeds, for example, along with pure water, are helpful in retaining moisture and filling out the stool. Bran products should not be used as they are irritating to the bowel and add to the problem of mucus buildup in the colon if they cannot be completely digested.
When constipation is present, water intake should be increased. Just like flushing a toilet, the bowel cannot be cleaned without adequate water. A good regimen is to start the day by drinking two or three glasses of warm water. |

Try to drink at least half the recommended 6-7 glasses of liquid daily as pure water. Limit alcohol and caffeine consumption. Keep up the recommended level of liquid, too, especially as you grow older, when the thirst drive diminishes: your body's need for water does not.

Other liquids, such as milk, coffee, tea, juice, and soda, are not substitutes for pure water. Even if you drink plenty of these other liquids, you need to consume 8 to 10 cups of purified water daily.
Liver Cleansing Program
Appropriate cleansing treatments for the liver vary depending on the extent of the toxic overload. In general, mild toxicity can be corrected by consuming ample quantities of fresh fruit, vegetables, whole grains, and a limited amount of high-quality proteins. It is important to stop eating and drinking harmful substances, such as alcohol, caffeine, and unsaturated fats. |

Each morning as I begin my day I step outside and give thanks to the sun for its warm breath, give thanks to the earth for its sustenance, give thanks to the trees for the oxygen they provide, and give thanks to the pure water at Heart Spring that is the life blood of this land and provides the moisture needed to maintain my body. In each of these I recognize the face of the Holy—the spirit that vitalizes and gives me my very life—and I am grateful. |

Oral rehydration therapy is one cup of pure water with a teaspoon of sugar and a little salt. A zinc supplement added to oral rehydration therapy aids the therapy. This therapy can be helpful until the child is rehydrated and strong enough to recover with normal water and food.
The Acid-Alkaline Balance
The blood must be maintained in a narrow range of acidity. Acidity is measured on a pH (potential of hydrogen) scale. Normal values for blood are between 7.35 and 7.45 on the pH scale. Water is used as a reference as pH 7, which is considered neutral. |

Benefits of Water in the body on internal cleansing organs like the colon, liver and kidneys. To put it another way, anything you drink besides water requires water to break it down. Despite this simple logic, a large portion of the population continues to drink unhealthful beverages instead of water and they are chronically dehydrated! |
| However, our colons need pure water, and we just can't count on bottled water companies or our government to provide us with clean water. It's up to all of us to do something. Without public outcry, this practice will continue on and on, so please write to your state representatives, city council members, the FDA, and the president. Ask them to support a clean environment by outlawing toxic chemicals in our water and environment. |

6. Do not lift while lying on your back. Pregnant women should not lie on their backs while exercising, especially after the sixth month, because blood supply may be reduced to the fetus.
7. Stay cool. Exercise increases body temperature, which may threaten the health of the fetus. Keep your temperature below 100 degrees. Dress lightly in warm weather.
8. Warm up for three to five minutes before performing weight-lifting exercises. (See "Joint Warming Exercises" in Appendix A.)

5. Calculate your training heart rate (THR) for aerobic exercise. THR is defined as the range of heart rates that is safe for your heart and will strengthen it. To do this, first calculate your maximum heart rate (MHR):
MHR = 220 — your age (in years)
Next calculate your training heart rate (THR) as a percentage of MHR. |
| Rest and take a mouthful of pure water between exercises.
• Warm up for 3-5 minutes before weight lifting exercises and stretch the muscles used during the exercise session after the workout.

REPPED: It's a great marketing gimmick: A bottle of water with a clean, blue label showing images of snow-capped mountains and the claim, "Pure water, perfect taste." That's the image created by Pepsico's Aquafina brand of water, and many consumers leap to the incorrect conclusion that Aquafina is sourced from mountain spring water.
In reality, Aquafina comes from tap water. Yes, the same water you get when you turn on your kitchen faucet. Of course, Aquafina is filtered, purified and perhaps even enhanced with trace amounts of added minerals, but it's certainly not mountain spring water. |

Since herb tea is an important aspect of healing, use pure water: distilled, spring, filtered, or from a well. Distilled water is the best medium for drawing out the therapeutic properties of the plants, as it is a more neutral medium. However, I do not recommend using distilled water that has been stored in plastic jugs, because the plastic contains xenoestro-gens, substances that mimic the effects of the hormone estrogen, which may be a carcinogenic risk. The plastic also imparts a plastic flavor to the water. |

You should drink eight large glasses of pure water daily (at least 2 quarts) to bring your liver back to health.
Certain herbs have a mild detoxifying effect on the liver. Taken regularly, these herbs can be used to prevent liver disease and maintain the health of this vital organ. Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) is native to Europe, where it is often prescribed to treat and protect the liver. As far back as the seventeenth century, this herb was known as "a friend to liver and blood. |

Reverse osmosis (RO) is one of the best methods to get pure water without using up a lot of energy. RO units remove bacteria, viruses, nitrates, fluorides, sodium, chlorine, particulate matter, heavy metals, asbestos, organic chemicals, and dissolved minerals. They do not remove toxic gases, chloroform, phenols, THMs, some pesticides, and low-molecular-weight organic compounds. When combined with an activated carbon filtration system, however, they can remove the entire spectrum of impurities from the drinking water, including organic and inorganic chemicals. |
| The membrane is permeable to pure water but not to most of its impurities. If conditions are right for sufficient water pressure and the water is not excessively hard, almost no energy is needed for the operation of RO systems. A pressure pump is needed if the total dissolved solids are greater than one thousand parts per million. The water is as pure as distilled, yet it is not heated as in distilled water and therefore not destructured, which is a great advantage. Sometimes a pressure pump is needed for extremely hard water, and this does require electrical energy. |
