It circulates the air inside the machine and filters particles and pollutants through a series of internal filters. The machine combines a total of four advanced filtration technologies to remove particles, pollutants, odors and allergens. Once purified, the air is released out of the top of the machine bringing clean air back into the room. Some HealthPro models don't have all four internal filters, so check the model details carefully in deciding which one might be right for you. |

Because muscles may become the repositories of pollutants, such as lead, if your body cannot excrete or otherwise deal with such pollutants, this Driver field generally aids bioenergetically in the detoxifying process. At the cellular level, the Muscle Driver is linked specifically to monocytes, which among other functions act as scavengers to clear dead cells from your body, especially around the site of infections. |

Fresh air, unpolluted by fumes, car exhausts, smoke, and other particles and gases, promotes good health. pollutants in the air we breathe are absorbed by our lungs and carried to body tissues for storage and future removal. When the pollutants are not able to be eliminated, they contribute to degenerating health and disease.
We should work and rest in well-ventilated areas; spend time in fresh outdoor air; allow our skin to "breathe" by wearing loose-fitting non-synthetic clothing; and exercise enough to cause full deep breathing every day. |

Modern-day pollutants like aerosols (mostly sulphur dioxide and particulates released by fires) can also have a cooling effect, and in the absence of global warming the so-called Asian Brown Cloud' might severely disrupt the monsoon, according to one study. The authors hypothesise that a 'roller-coaster scenario' might still come into play, however, where cooling pollutants first weaken the monsoon, before pollution controls and increasing greenhouse gas levels bring it back with greater force than ever. |

This is hardly surprising, given that our modern world assaults all of us with a daily flood of pollutants and toxins. But this isn't a stand-alone topic. The food you eat can be a major source of toxins (or of detoxification), so diet is interrelated to toxicity. By stimulating the lymphatic system, exercise can help keep the body's detoxification processes functioning more smoothly, so exercise, too, is involved. And certain environmental pollutants can have profound effects on hormonal balance, so these two topics cannot be looked at in isolation from one another. |

Chanel claims this father standard cleanser can eliminare the effects of indoor and outdoor pollution, but unless they are referring to dirr or the daily accumulation of dead skin cells as the "pollutants," the claim is not justified. And how do you wash off carbon monoxide or smog when they don't stick to the skin? The answer is, you can't. Furrhermore, rhe planr ingredient that can supposedly fid skin of pollutants (Moringa pterygosperma seed exttact) is present in such a tiny amount (listed aftef the fragrance and preservatives) that its effect, if any, on the skin would barely register. |

Pharmaceutical Personal Care pollutants CPPCPsD
There is a new contaminant that we are creating in our environment from what we take into our bodies. Neither water treatment plants nor the EPA knows what to do with this massive problem. It is in our sewage treatment plants, our streams, creeks, rivers, and lakes. It's called PPCPs (Pharmaceutical Personal Care pollutants).
The 2002 National Drinking Water Standards reported that 80 percent of streams sampled in the U.S. Geological Survey showed evidence of drugs, hormones, steroids, and PPCPs, such as soaps and fragrances. |
| Testing shows that unsafe mercury levels and other pollutants routinely contaminate commercial farm-raised fish, and they are also fed health-destroying pollutants. These fish are also virtually devoid of the vital omega-3 essential fatty acids EPA and DHA. For instance, the farm-raised salmon in your freezer was kept in ocean pens for three years, fattening up on highly concentrated unnatural protein pellets. It was vaccinated and received antibiotics to survive the diseases that are so common in these feedlots. It may have been fed pesticides to repel bloodsucking sea lice. |

It's actually filled with indoor pollutants that may include radon, pet dander, dust mite allergens, tobacco smoke, mold spores and other particles. According to recent findings, indoor air is often more polluted than outdoor air.
So how do you get rid of these microbial nightmares and improve the quality of the air you breathe? The solution is simple: air purification technology.
For this NewsTarget review, I decided to take a look at high-end air purifiers currently on the market and the winner was above and beyond the HealthPro series by IQAir (www.iqair.com). |

We're surrounded by toxins and pollutants, some of which we take in through our food. We need extra nutrient protection to help guard against the harm they can do. Most of us have stressful, busy lives, which means higher nutrient requirements. And—let's face it—who has a perfect diet? Taking your "multi" takes the guesswork out of getting the amounts you need to avoid frank deficiency of any essential nutrient. |

Seaweed Eaters Seem to Enjoy Lower Risk of Cancer
Seaweeds have also been studied for their possible anticancer effects. One recent paper published in Cancer" Chemotherapy and Pharmacology in 2005 investigated the antitumoral properties of a polysaccharide isolated from a brown marine algae Sargassum stenophyllum. And kombu and wakame are particularly rich in a substance called fucoidan, a polysaccharide believed to have anticancer activity. |
| Politics Can Get in the Way of Safe Water Standards
There are hundreds of chemicals, pollutants, and toxic metals (mercury, arsenic, etc.) that have the potential to wind up in our water; the government determines what an appropriate or acceptable, "safe" level of these compounds is. If the water has that amount (or less), it is deemed safe for drinking. However, what you have to understand is that there are full-time lobbyists in Washington whose job it is to try to make the "safe" levels of toxins as high as they can reasonably get away with. |

I've found that our current generation of children worldwide is exposed to more airborne pollutants than any previous generation. I see children who haven't even reached two years of age who are suffering from serious asthma. The amount of drugs children are taking just so they can breathe is mind-boggling.
Most drugs are now aimed at decreasing this inflammatory response and relaxing the accompanying bronchospasm. Nevertheless, the underlying root problem, oxidative stress, remains unaddressed. |

You see, fat tissues -- whether in a cow or a human -- tend to concentrate whatever pollutants are found in the mainstay diet of the animal. A cow eats literally tons of grass in its lifetime, and in doing so, it collects and concentrates low-level pollutants found in its diet. For non-organic beef, it's quite common to find trace amounts of heavy metals (mercury, cadmium), pesticides, and even PCBs. That's because, for non-organic beef, feed practices are rather horrifying. You'd be shocked to learn what's perfectly legal to feed to cows intended for human consumption. |

A number of accidents released tons of extra pollutants in the air, so much that for the first time in its history, people organized to oppose the plant. The world was becoming smarter about the alphabet soup of chemicals involved in coking. These include such known carcinogens as benzene, toluene, xylene, cadmium, arsenic and beta-Naphthylamine.This compound was once used to make dyes and rubber. A cousin of it is employed to make moth balls. |
| Those from the countryside had rich, plush fuzz that scooped up bacteria and viruses, along with pollutants, and escorted them out of the lungs.
The people of Taiyuan live in air that is much worse than that of Sao Paulo. The dark, smoky haze that covers the region can even prevent satellites from imaging the ground. Conditions are so dire that in 2000 the United Nations and Asian Development Bank got together to do something about it. A massive economic experiment is under way to change local industry. |
| Lately the Chinese government has admitted that cancers in people living along some of its heavily polluted rivers and streams in Huangmengying in the Huai River basin follow the steady flow of heavy metals, leather tanning, paper and pulp mills, and other uncontrolled pollutants that render half of its waters undrinkable.1
Modern nations and modern professions face risks that may be more complex in origins but no less drastic in implications. Some of the doctors I know who have cancer asked me not to write about their struggles. |
| Hermaphroditic polar bears and gender-confused Beluga whales are being found in the Arctic Ocean with levels of pollutants in their fat that would qualify them for burial in a toxic waste site. Children with autism or other brain defects, tumors or leukemia, and young men with testicular cancer, lower sperm count and testosterone are increasing everywhere. Fewer baby boys are being born in many industrial countries. Are these things coming to light only because some people are looking for problems? |

What makes matters worse is that those attempting to avoid responsibility can point to the fact that the stuff travels so effectively via wind and sea that even if they did clean up their act it might not make much difference unless every company on the planet followed suit—mercury and other toxic metals like cadmium and industrial pollutants like PCBs have been found as far away from their original industrial sources as the waters of the Arctic Ocean. In Greenland, for goodness' sake, 16 percent of the population's blood mercury levels exceed the levels that could have toxic effects on people. |

Wear glasses or sunglasses to protect your eyes from triggers and put a small amount of Vaseline in each nostril as a barrier to airborne pollutants. þWash your hands and rinse your eyes when you come indoors. Wash your hair if you have been exposed to pollen. þWear a mask when gardening or mowing your lawn. þKeep windows in your home closed as well as in your car when driving. þAir condition your home and your car. þTake frequent 'alternate nostril breathing' breaks during the day (see pages 210-11).
Stay cool but not too cold. Really cold indoor temperatures can aggravate allergy symptoms. |

There can be many reasons for increased blood pressure, such as the narrowing of arteries due to fat and mineral deposits; the congestion and clogging of organs from cellular waste products; a build-up of plaque, calcium, or cholesterol in the arteries; a loss of elasticity in the blood vessel walls; negative emotions; stimulants like drugs, food excesses, salt, and pollutants; lack of exercise; and blood that is too thick or too thin.
Correcting high blood pressure requires an elimination of all its causes. |
| Water should be filtered to remove pollutants and chemicals, then remineralized with ionic minerals or sea salt for optimum results.
4 Energized water is better.
5 Filtered and hexagonally structured, primal-source energized water provides maximum life force that is far superior to other waters, unless one has access to pristine, alkaline, alive, natural spring water or melted snow water.
We all have to eat food and we usually look forward to mealtimes. Most people select their meals based solely on what tastes good and what satisfies their hunger at the moment. |
| The water we consume must be free of pollutants and, ideally have hexagonally-structured molecules.
Real food for the body is organic, fresh, and living. It should supply all the necessary enzymes, amino acids, essential fatty acids, minerals, vitamins, and probiotics we need.
Supplements, if needed, should be natural complexes made from live, whole organic food sources, with their enzymes and electrical properties intact. The best supplements are those that are prepared with minimal processing. |

Ensure your heating and cooling systems, and exhaust fans in your home and car, work efficiently. Rid your garden of pests with herbs, not insecticides. Sit at least two metres away from the television. |
| ALTERNATE NOSTRIL BREATHING
Your nose, the body's air-conditioner, can clear accumulated allergens, pollutants and irritants which clog your nasal cavities and respiratory tract, to give speedy relief from asthma attacks, dust sensitivities and stubborn coughs. Five minutes a day of alternate nostril breathing will clean out irritants, help you breathe better and strengthen your immunity to allergies. þ Place your index finger on your forehead between your eyebrows, with thumb on one side of your nose and bent middle finger on the other. þ Breathe in through both nostrils. |
| You can take control of your condition and reduce or eliminate your exposure to household and workplace pollutants. þ Keep everything that gives off unpleasant odours out of inhalation range until you need to use them. These include polishes, window and oven cleaners, insecticides, cosmetics, nail polish and remover, glues, etc. Use only in well ventilated areas.
Don't buy expensive aerosol cleaners, make your own with natural ingredients.
Disconnect your automatic gas stove pilot light—a constant source of gas seepage—and keep gas use to a minimum. |

Whether the immune system is fighting a chronic infection or pollutants in the air, chronic inflammation takes its toll on asthmatics, especially children. Kids seem to continually fight one infection after another, and their energy level is nowhere near that of children with healthy airways.
When I first began my private practice in the early 1970s, physicians believed the underlying problem with asthma was bronchospasm. |

Smoking is one of the worst things an asthmatic can do, as it directly takes pollutants and allergic triggers into the sensitive airways. However, it is not so widely known that cigarette smoking uses up Vitamin C in the body. Levels of the vitamin have been measured in smokers and it has been shown that one cigarette can use up to 25 mg of Vitamin C. It is therefore doubly important that asthmatics who smoke supplement their diet with Vitamin C. Obviously the best solution would be to stop smoking altogether, and you will find suggestions to help you do so in Chapter 15. |
