Most supermarkets have a separate section with breads, buns, rolls, and tortillas sold in plastic bags. 1 tbsp. nonfat dry milk 3 medium eggs
3 tbsp. cottage cheese
2 tbsp. grated veggies or sprouts
Mix the milk powder with a little water and beat with the eggs. Cook in a hot pan. When mixture is cooked, turn it over, and put the cottage cheese and veggies or sprouts on top. When this is firm, fold it over like an omelet. Cut into bite-size pieces for your kitties.

Tips on Using Cranberries
SELECTION AND STORAGE:
• Purchase prepackaged in plastic bags. Look for plump, firm, and bright berries.
• Besides raw cranberries, you can also purchase dried (usually sweetened), juice (sweetened and unsweetened), sauce, jelly, and even cranberry supplements.

| Fresh cranberries are usually packed in 12-ounce plastic bags, although organic berries may be available in pint containers. Discard any that are soft, discolored, pitted, or shriveled.
Unwashed, fresh cranberries can be stored in the refrigerator for several months. Cranberries may show moisture after removal from the refrigerator, but such dampness does not indicate a lessening in quality, unless the berries are sticky, leathery, or tough or their flesh is discolored.

| Jerusalem artichokes are sold loose or packaged in 1-pound plastic bags. If you're planning to cook them whole, try to choose tubers of similar size, so they will finish cooking at the same time. Choose smooth, plump, clean, unblemished tubers with a minimum of bumps, although protrusions and un-evenness on the skin are fine. Farmers are attempting to breed out the bumps in newer varieties, so some are less knobby than others. Avoid any that are limp or spongy or have wrinkled skins, soft spots, a greenish tinge, or sprouts.

TIPS FOR PREPARING

Nonetheless, the following are guidelines for brewing a proper pot of tea:

| Due to their high oil content, pecans should preferably be purchased in their shells—although they are also available shelled in vacuum-packed jars, sealed plastic bags, or cans. If choosing shelled pecans, check the sell-by date on the package as, once shelled, pecans turn rancid quickly.
Shelled nutmeats should appear plump and be of similar size and color. Avoid any that are limp, rubbery, dark, or shriveled. Also discard any with a bitter or off taste—a sign that their oil has turned rancid. |

We recommend getting a breast pump and storing as much breast milk in plastic bags in the freezer as possible as a way to extend the breast-feeding period. When it's time for the baby to begin to eat solid food, parents should introduce foods slowly (no more than one new food every 2 days) to ensure that the baby can tolerate the food. The root crucifers like radishes, rutabaga, and turnips should be smooth and firm, and their greens should be healthy-looking and intact.
