Interview with Dr. Hank Liers Part 5: Superior nutrition for pet health

Easing hip pain in dogs Mike: When it comes to pet health and pet supplements I think probably the most popular category of supplements are, of course, joint supplements for pets. I have heard the craziest explanations from pet owners about why their dogs' hips hurt. Dr. Liers: Overbreeding. Mike: Pet owners are almost desperate to find something to ease the pain. Now, you have a product called Joint Health Formula for Pets with some potent ingredients in here. In addition, you use some vitamin D3, which I applaud by the way.
It seems like the pharmaceutical industry is really trying to take over veterinary medicine to put pets on the same drugs, and have even pet health insurance so they can pass costs around. Perhaps a nutritional approach will win out in the end. Which way do you think it is going? Dr. Liers: Certainly, in our world some companies are making better animal foods, Natura Pet Products, for example. I do not know if you are familiar with them. They make the Innova EVO that has no grains in it. Why would you feed an animal grains? We have two dogs, and they get a can of sardines every day.

Here at Truth Publishing, we're always striving to bring you innovative information, no-cost product samples and other resources to help improve your health, and when I got word about a new book on natural pet health by Dr. Marty Goldstein, I told the publisher I'd like to help promote the book at no charge. In fact, Truth Publishing is giving away some valuable reports on pet health to anyone who buys this groundbreaking book, "The Nature of Animal Healing.
I've never seen so much industry support for a single book, but knowing how much the pet-owning public is clamoring for natural solutions to pet health problems, I'm not really surprised. Today's informed pet owners are demanding real answers about non-toxic therapies that can genuinely help their pets overcome disease and get healthy. And this book delivers those answers: Solutions on hip pain, diabetes, pet obesity and why vaccines are harmful for animals (just like they are for humans). There's a lot more, of course, and you can find the details yourself.
It turns out we weren't the only organization that wanted to pitch in and help support the success of this important collection of veterinary wisdom. pet health magazine publishers, pet food companies and even the Whole Dog Journal all agreed to give away substantial gifts to support the success of the book. In all, over $200 in bonus reports, subscriptions, pet food samples and discounts were rounded up, and you can see them all by clicking here. It's an astonishing offer.

Big Pharma takes over veterinary medicine; dogs and cats drugged with chemicals for profit

Mike Adams, the Health Ranger

There's almost no organization in pet health today that hasn't been taken over (or strongly influenced) by Big Pharma. It's not enough to drug all the sick people in the world, you see. Big Pharma has to invent diseases and drug all the healthy people, too. And then, they have to drug all the children and infants to make sure those little beings are set up for future organ failure, which is even more lucrative for the drug companies later on. And just to drive yet more profits home, they've got to drug all the animals.
But treating dogs with antidepressants, chemotherapy, diabetes drugs, statin drugs, osteoporosis drugs and other such chemical agents is patently absurd. Most pet health conditions can be easily prevented or cured with good nutrition, and more challenging health problems can be cheaply and safely solved with herbal therapies and other naturopathic modalities. There is no scientifically justifiable role in veterinary medicine for the majority of the pharmaceuticals now being pushed onto vets, vet techs, and pet owners. Even the pet shelters are being influenced by Big Pharma.
They have a whole line of health products that have been tested and proven over two decades of clinical use to help with things like joint pain, respiratory infections, thyroid function, immune function and much more. See their product line here: http://www.azmira.com/Products.htm You can also call Azmira at (U.S.

Natural Pet Cures: Dog & Cat Care the Natural Way

Dr. John Heinerman

It is stories such as these from real pet owners that convinced me a long time ago of the value of natural remedies such as herbs in the treatment of many pet health problems. (See the Product Appendix under Nature's Answer for obtaining the herbal extracts mentioned here.) Something Fishy for Poochy If you have been led to believe all these years that fish is only for pussycats, then think again: It's also a highly desirable food remedy for treating arthritis in dogs. This can be done one of several ways, but they all involve giving your motion-limited canine shark.
Another Opinion on the Matter Michelle Picozzi of Boulder, Colorado, frequently writes on pet health issues and is a cat lover herself. In a 1997 piece she wrote that the terms "alleged" and "has not been scientifically proven" were used to describe the concerns surrounding clumping litter. She quoted a number of veterinarians, including several who are "holistically oriented," who supported the view that this material isn't harmful to the health of felines.
POINT pet health CHECK 1. Weight Check. A pet needs to be weighed periodically just like its human master does. A cat should be weighed every four to six weeks at the same time and day of each month. One thing to bear in mind is that a major weight change doesn't need to occur in order to suggest there might be a problem. By standing above your pet and looking for a slight "waist" behind the animal's ribs, you will be able to detect any change in weight. Place both hands on the animal's ribs. You should be able to feel the ribs, but they shouldn't stick out, either.
