Without milk fats, the milk protein remains undigested. When much of the milk fat is removed from the milk, the gallbladder is not stimulated enough to release the right amounts of bile necessary to help digest both the milk proteins and the milk fats. Hence, milk proteins and fats are passed into the GI tract without being digested properly. Much of the protein putrefies, and the fats turn rancid. All this leads to severe lymphatic congestion, as is often seen in the bloated stomachs of formula-fed babies.9 The babies suffer from intestinal colic.

Soy cheese products deceive consumers, violate vegans

It reads "casein (a dried skim milk protein)". So, there is some attempt on their part to educate consumers about what's in the product, but still, it's made with a milk protein derived from cows, and most people don't read the ingredients to begin with. If you're into health food products, you can verify all this yourself. Visit any natural grocer or health food store and look at any veggie cheese or soy cheese product on the shelf. You will find that virtually all of them are manufactured with cow's milk protein.
But my question is that if this is a cheese alternative, what is a milk protein doing in the product? Granted, at least Galaxy Nutritional Foods explains what casein is in their ingredients list. It reads "casein (a dried skim milk protein)". It turned out that a portion of the cow's milk protein was biochemically an exact match for a portion of human insulin-producing cells. The antibodies that arose to destroy the cow's milk protein ended up attacking the children's insulin-producing cells. The pancreatic cells were destroyed by "friendly fire." This study and others suggested a scenario that could lead to type 1 diabetes: When a very young infant is fed cow's milk formula, some of the milk proteins pass from the digestive tract into the bloodstream.

In addition to Bakelite, another leading brand of plastic was called Galalith, a polymer with vaguely biblical connotations derived from a combination of formaldehyde and milk protein. milk protein (casein) had already found its way into modified glues that needed to be less water soluble, especially compared with wheat paste. For example, such casein glues are still de rigueur for the labels on champagne bottles, since they have to stay on the bottle despite its submersion in a bucket of ice.

Storage of excessive amounts of milk protein in the connective tissues and basal membranes of the capillaries reduces the diffusion of essential minerals and vitamins to the tissues of the body. This causes a depletion of nutrients in the tissues, especially of those that form the bones and joints. Cows maintain strong and hardy bones and teeth throughout their lives and get most of their calcium from the greens they eat. Gorillas, elephants and other strong animals also don't suffer from osteoporosis.

Once of the most obvious differences is that all of the milk protein has been removed. Ghee is pure fat with none of the impurities that may be found in butter. Unlike butter, ghee contains no bacteria and it is not prone to turning rancid, even after storing it for several months outside the refrigerator. In many cases, ghee is recommended in the diet. Ghee is particularly useful for the Pitta constitution; it helps to digest and absorb food better and makes food tastier, although not everyone will agree. Its benefit lies in the fact that it stimulates AGNI without upsetting Pitta dosha.

The large amounts of undigested milk protein increase acidity in the body and the unused crude milk calcium can cause calcification of joints, arteries and kidneys. This can make protein foods with lowered fat-content hazardous to health. Leafy green vegetables contain four times more calcium than whole milk. There is also plenty of calcium in almonds, black molasses, sesame seeds, broccoli, Brazil nuts, millet, oats and citrus fruits. The calcium contained in these foods is readily absorbed by the human digestive system, provided the digestive system functions efficiently.
If the milk protein becomes lodged in the body's connective tissues, it is only natural for the body's immune cells (white cells) to attack and remove it. The fact that this response by the immune system inflames the cells surrounding these tissues (which is essential for healing) should not be misconstrued to be an autoimmune disease. Ever since cows milk has been used to make cheese, whey, which is a waste product of cheese production, has been fed to pigs. This practice continued even after scientists attributed great nutritional value to whey.
We are practically infested by this milk protein unless we live off purely natural foods. Watch out for the Milk Hormone Bovine somatotrophin (BST) is a hormone which, when fed to cows, can increase their milk yield by 20-30 percent. In the United States, BST was licensed by the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1994. This effectively gave farmers the legal permission to treat their herds with the controversial hormone. The license was accompanied with a new labeling policy, previously unheard of in the United States.
In Kapha types, milk protein remains undigested and can trigger allergic reactions with intense mucus irritation and sinus congestion. The Kapha's blood vessel walls tend to clog up quickly with excessive proteins as a result of overeating dairy foods or meat. This may explain why this particular body type is more prone to obesity and congestive heart failure than the Vata type. Once milk is pasteurized, i.e., ultra heat-treated, its natural enzyme population is destroyed. Yet the enzymes are needed to make the milk nutrients available to the body cells.

Just don't buy soy cheese made with casein -- a milk protein. Believe it or not, some soy cheese products actually use cow's milk protein as one of their ingredients! Nutrition: putting it all together So, putting all of this together on nutrition, let's review for a moment. First, you have to engage in nutritional supplementation if you're going to get outstanding nutrition. It simply isn't possible without turning to nutritional supplements. If you're going to take nutritional supplements, you basically have three forms: powders, pills and foods.

On the other hand, cholesterol stones in the gallbladder are very common among Americans whose diet is rich in flesh and milk protein. Dietary fats play only a secondary, almost insignificant, role in raising cholesterol levels in the blood. The liver cells produce most of the cholesterol the body requires on a daily basis for the normal metabolic processes. The main reason we need fats in our diet is not so much to meet our need for cholesterol, but to help digest and absorb other foods and to derive fat-soluble vitamins.

Increased antibodies to milk protein have been reported [1], but their presence did not correlate with other markers of allergy or severity of symptoms. Withdrawal of milk or any other specific food does not consistently result in remission of active disease. Huber and colleagues [55] detected no food-specific IgE after studying the sera of patients with CD. Local allergic response to foods in the gastrointestinal tract does not appear to be a primary component of the pathology of IBD [55-57].

For example, milk calcium compensates for urinary calcium losses generated by milk protein, potassium in such plants as legumes and grains decreases calcium excretion, and the high phosphorus content of meat offsets the calciuric effect of the protein [40]. Studies have also found that autism and schizophrenia in children may be linked to the body's inability to digest the milk protein casein; symptoms of these diseases diminished or disappeared in 80 percent of the children who were switched to milk-free diets.32 A UK study showed that people who were suffering from irregular heartbeats, asthma, headaches, fatigue, and digestive problems "showed marked and often complete improvements in their health after cutting milk from their diets.

Wheat gluten is 43% glutamate, the milk protein casein is 23% glutamate. This glutamate removal mechanism is critical to brain protection. Additionally, mercury in very low concentrations increases glutamate release, primarily by stimulating the brain's immune cell, the microglia. Chronic microglial activation, as seen with mercury exposure, has been linked to neurodegenerative diseases. Mercury, among all the metals tested, was the only one shown to block the removal of excess glutamate from the nervous system.
