Microwave ovens destroy the nutritional value of your food

Mike Adams, the Health Ranger

REPPED: The rise of widespread nutritional deficiencies in the western world correlates almost perfectly with the introduction of the microwave oven. This is no coincidence. Microwave ovens heat food through a process of creating molecular friction, but this same molecular friction quickly destroys the delicate molecules of vitamins and phytonutrients (plant medicines) naturally found in foods. One study showed that microwaving vegetables destroys up to 97% of the nutritional content (vitamins and other plant-based nutrients that prevent disease, boost immune function and enhance health).

THROW OUT YOUR MICROWAVE! A microwave oven decays and changes the molecular structure of the food by the process of radiation, making it a "radiation oven." The Soviet Union banned the use of microwave ovens in 1976. Yet, more than 90 percent of American homes have microwave ovens. Because microwave ovens are so convenient and energy efficient, as compared to conventional ovens, very few homes or restaurants are without them.
Lita Lee's book, Health Effects of Microwave Radiation—Microwave Ovens, and in the March and September 1991 issues of Earthletter, she stated that every microwave oven leaks electromagnetic radiation, harms food, and converts substances cooked in it to dangerous organ-toxic and carcinogenic products. Further research summarized in this article reveal that microwave ovens are far more harmful than previously imagined. The fifth interesting piece of information is the Russian investigations published by the Atlantis Raising Educational Center in Portland, Oregon.
Titled "Comparative Study of Food Prepared Conventionally and in the microwave oven," published by Raum and Zelt in 1992, at 3(2):43, it states: One short-term study found significant and disturbing changes in the blood of individuals consuming microwaved milk and vegetables. Eight volunteers ate various combinations of the same foods cooked different ways. All foods that were processed through the microwave ovens caused changes in the blood of the volunteers. Hemoglobin levels decreased and overall white cell levels and cholesterol levels increased. Lymphocytes decreased.
The first is a piece of news about a lawsuit in Oklahoma in 1991 concerning the hospital use of a microwave oven to warm blood needed in a transfusion. The case involved a hip surgery patient, Norma Levitt, who died from a simple blood transfusion. It seems the nurse had warmed the blood in a microwave oven. The implication is that the microwaving of the blood to be transfused transformed the structure of the previously compatible blood, making it incompatible for transfusion.
The general perception, even among health professionals, is that whatever a microwave oven does to foods cooked in it doesn't have any negative effect on either the food or the consumer of the food. This is far from the truth. The author actually cured two people from what was diagnosed as "chronic fatigue" by having them literally throw out their microwave. The following five pieces of information, although not conclusive, are highly suggestive of the potential risks of using microwave ovens.

Remove the bowl from the microwave oven and add the remaining ingredients. Stir the mixture with a wire whisk until all ingredients are completely combined. Cover and microwave the mixture on high power 4 minutes longer. Remove the bowl, uncover (careful, it will be hot!), and stir the mixture well. Allow the pumpkin butter to cool slightly, and then cover it and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Use as a bread spread, fruit dip, or stir it into plain yogurt. Option #1: Spread 3 tablespoons on 2 whole grain crackers (60-70 calories of crackers) as a snack.

Don't eat food that has been cooked in the microwave oven. Avoid frozen foods, canned products and leftover foods. Take gymnema sylvestre to heal damaged pancreas cells, and evening primrose oil to improve nerve function. Refer to chapter 7, for information on auto-urine therapy and blood-sugar-balancing foods, herbs and spices, including oils and cinnamon. Cleansing of the main organs of elimination (liver, colon and kidneys) is essential for reversing diabetes of both types. Read labels.

In simpler terms, a microwave oven decays and changes the molecular structure of the food by the process of radiation."34 The radiation breaks down any vitamins and minerals in the food and changes their natural structure. Your body cannot handle these irradiated molecules and they eventually weaken your immune and digestive system from the harmful molecules and the lack of proper nutrition. It's not like I'm sticking my head in the microwave oven." Well, guess what— it does matter! If you ingest a teaspoon of salt 100 times a day, it's going to add up. John Gofman, professor emeritus of Medical Physics at UC Berkeley and an expert on radiation's health effects, is one of the most outspoken forces against unnecessary exposure to radiation. He states, "There is no safe threshold. If this truth is known, then any permitted radiation is a permit to commit murder." 109 Dr.

Later that day, you can roast a chicken or pan-fry a fish fillet or a chicken breast. Because food prep and cooking take time, get into the habit of making more than you'll eat in a single meal. Use the leftovers for subsequent meals, and you'll cook fewer days during the week. Five Key Points to Remember while Following the Plan 1. In a classical experiment 2,000 cats were given only food and water that were previously placed in the microwave oven, even for just one minute. The foods selected were the most nutritious and natural ones available. Within six weeks, all cats mysteriously died. While investigating the surprising result of the test, it was discovered that, although the cats looked well fed, the cells in their bodies virtually contained no trace of nutrient-components. The cats literally starved to death, despite all the nutritious foods. Microwaves turned their food into deadly poison.

Bile secretions and other digestive juices peak at midday, which makes it easier to digest a heavier meal at this time than one eaten in the evening.

Finally, plastic products are part of almost every person's daily life, and many of them give off xenoestrogens when heated, whether purposely in a microwave oven or accidentally in a hot car. Petrochemicals and solvents. Many general hygiene products—such as skin cream, lotion, soap, shampoo, perfume, hair spray, and room deodorizers—contain petrochemicals. These compounds often have chemical structures similar to estrogen and therefore act like estrogen when introduced into the body.

A microwave oven may have an EMF up to 90 milligauss at 1 foot, but at 3 feet it drops to 3 to 5 milligauss.15 EMFs Can Disrupt Melatonin Production One of the main reasons why medical professionals and others are concerned about EMF exposure levels is a growing body of research showing that EMFs have a negative impact on melatonin production in the body.

At Home or the Office, Avoid Prepackaged Microwave Meals Here s why: It's certainly fine for you to reheat home-cooked meals in a microwave oven, but nearly all of the microwavable meals sold in Quick Tip Read the Fine Print There ought to be a sign warning "Let the Buyer Beware" when you walk into supermarkets. Most foods sold in a jar, bottle, box, or plastic bag contain less-than-healthy ingredients. And those unhealthy ingredients add up. A few grams of sugar here and a few grams there turn into 150 pounds of sugar each year for the average American.
Until 1999, I rarely cooked for myself, and my forays into the kitchen were usually to be served or to heat a packaged meal in the microwave oven. When I found myself living alone (after my divorce), I learned how to cook in a series of baby steps, sometimes by observing or assisting friends in the kitchen and other times by watching chefs on the Food Network. Despite the popularity of cookbooks and celebrity chefs, cooking often seems to be a dying art. Many people, especially women, feel that cooking is drudgery.
To reheat the brisket, lay several slices on a plate, spread some of the onion-garlic mix and gravy on top, then cover it loosely with wax paper and place it in a microwave oven. Pan Fried and Steamed Dumplings (Serves 1-4) You can buy frozen Asian-style dumplings at Trader Joe s and many other specialty food stores. The ingredients aren't perfect—there is, after all, the refined carbohydrate shell that wraps around the chicken, pork, or shrimp.
Cut the filling into small pieces and heat it in a microwave oven while the crepe is cooking. When the crepe is done, transfer it to a dinner plate. Spoon the filling in a line across the center of the crepe. Fold over one third of the crepe, put a small amount of the filling on top of the first fold, then fold over the other side. Serve it immediately. Alternative: You can also use Forbidden Rice Flour, distributed by Lotus Foods. This can be ordered at www.lotusfoods.com. Exotic Rice Dessert Crepes and Pancakes (Serves 4 or more) This recipe is similar to the dinner crepes.

What About Cooking Food in a microwave oven? Let's say you want to heat up last night's macaroni and cheese in the microwave for a minute or two. When you take it out of the microwave, it might still look, smell, and taste like macaroni and cheese, but what you have is essentially a radiated pile of zero-nutrient garbage. The microwave radiation causes water, fat, and sugar molecules to rotate very quickly to create friction and this is what generates the heat to cook the food from the inside out.
