Speaking of microwave ovens, did you know that the microwaves alter the actual molecular structure of the food you're zapping? And that the cells in food literally explode when microwaved? Don't you find that odd, curious, even scary? Using microwave technology dramatically reduces the nutritional value of foods and promotes the creation of free radical, cancer-causing agents. We must choose between being exposed to toxic elements versus the convenience of having what we want when we want it. Are you willing to give up the convenience of using a microwave? |

This is no coincidence. microwave ovens heat food through a process of creating molecular friction, but this same molecular friction quickly destroys the delicate molecules of vitamins and phytonutrients (plant medicines) naturally found in foods. One study showed that microwaving vegetables destroys up to 97% of the nutritional content (vitamins and other plant-based nutrients that prevent disease, boost immune function and enhance health).
In other words, eating raw broccoli provides you with natural anti-cancer medicine that's extremely effective at halting the growth of cancer tumors. |
| I drink a superfood smoothie every morning, and I haven't used a microwave in years. Protecting health is our own responsibility, and it's up to us all to make informed decisions about how we buy, prepare and consume our foods. You have to save yourself. Click here to see my CounterThink cartoon on this topic. |
| It's much easier to avoid using the microwave if you don't have one around. It will clear up counter space, save you electricity and greatly enhance your dietary habits. When you need to heat something, heat it in a toaster oven or a stovetop pan (avoid Teflon and non-stick surfaces, of course). Better yet, strive to eat more of a raw, unprocessed diet. That where you'll get the best nutrition anyway. Buy yourself a Vita-Mix and blend up some smoothies. It's faster than microwaving foods are far healthier. (See my book Superfood Smoothies for recipes). |
| Not only did the microwave make it convenient to eat more obesity-promoting foods, it also destroyed much of the nutritional content of those foods, leaving consumers in an ongoing state of malnourished overfeeding. In other words, people eat too many calories but not enough real nutrition. The result is, of course, what we see today: Epidemic rates of diabetes, cancer, heart disease, depression, kidney failure, liver disorders and much more. |
| They take a perfectly healthy piece of raw food, loaded with vitamins and natural medicines, then nuke it in the microwave and destroy most of its nutrition. Humans are the only animals on the planet who destroy the nutritional value of their food before eating it. All other animals consume food in its natural, unprocessed state, but humans actually go out of their way to render food nutritionally worthless before eating it. No wonder humans are the least healthy mammals on the planet. |
| Probably the best way to heat foods right now is to simply use a countertop toaster oven, and keep the heat as low as possible.
The microwave does work as advertised, by the way. It makes your food hot. But the mechanism by which heat is produced causes internal damage to the delicate molecular structures of vitamins and phytonutrients. |

Besides irradiating food, electromagnetic fields and invisible microwave emissions can bypass the built-in shielding in microwave ovens, and can leak through aging door seals, allowing them to travel to other rooms of the house.
The history of microwave ovens dates back to World War II, when the Nazis began research and development of these devices. |

The general perception, even among health professionals, is that whatever a microwave oven does to foods cooked in it doesn't have any negative effect on either the food or the consumer of the food. This is far from the truth. The author actually cured two people from what was diagnosed as "chronic fatigue" by having them literally throw out their microwave. The following five pieces of information, although not conclusive, are highly suggestive of the potential risks of using microwave ovens. |

At the end of the war, the United States' War Department and the Soviet Union obtained the German microwave research and some of the devices. They took them home for further study. Adding to the German research from the early forties, the Russians continued to research the biological effects of microwave ovens and microwave-cooked food. Their findings led them, in 1976, to issue an international warning concerning the biological and environmental dangers of using such ovens and similar electronic frequency devices. |

Microwave all the food you feed children. It's quick, convenient and perfectly healthy! Result: A massive increase in the consumption of processed, artificially modified and dead foods. The introduction of the microwave correlates nearly perfectly with the explosion of obesity and diabetes in western nations. Most doctors still have nothing negative to say about the use of the microwave.

The first is a piece of news about a lawsuit in Oklahoma in 1991 concerning the hospital use of a microwave oven to warm blood needed in a transfusion. The case involved a hip surgery patient, Norma Levitt, who died from a simple blood transfusion. It seems the nurse had warmed the blood in a microwave oven. |

Yet another new technology that intentionally heats polymers is the introducrion of susceptors in food packaging for microwave cooking. Susceptors are used to generate localized areas of very high temperature for browning. Unforrunately, microwaved pizzas using epoxy-containing susceptors were found to be laced with epoxy monomer. Luckily, this particulat product was reformulated prior to any documented outbreak of human illness.48 new glues and glue removers

þ For deep tissue-cleansing, drink hot (ionized) water frequently: Boil water for 15-20 minutes. Keep it in a thermos flask. Every half hour, take 1-2 sips or more according to your thirst. To have a cleansing effect, the water must be boiled this long and be taken as hot as you would take tea. |

Home meal replacements, as they are called, are intended to be easily reheated in the oven or microwave and are designed to eliminate the need to cook at home by providing a wide variety of higher quality foods that are as convenient and affordable as fast food [199]. The widespread adoption of microwave ovens by U.S. households (now in nearly 90% of homes) contributes to the convenience of home meal replacements for takeout [199]. Driven by consumer demand for convenience due to hectic schedules, the market for home meal replacements will continue to rise. |

Foods that are processed, refined, preserved, microwave heated, frozen or reheated may still contain enough nutrients but are all deprived of their natural life force (Chi, Ki or Prana). Without life force, these foods may reach the bloodstream but are unable to enter the cells where they need to be in order to keep the body healthy. This basic physiological principle was demonstrated in a classic experiment involving 6,000 healthy cats (as mentioned earlier). The cats were given highly nutritious food that was warmed in a microwave oven prior to feeding them. |

For a change of pace, substitute pieces of smoked salmon or mushrooms instead of the pepperoni. This omelet, plus coffee or tea, is your breakfast. If you drink tea, choose green tea.

Lita Lee, in a May 2001 article entitled Health Effects of Microwaves and microwave Ovens, maintains that every microwave oven leaks some electromagnetic radiation, harms food, and converts substances cooked in it into dangerous organotoxic and carcinogenic products. Similar studies concur. Not enough is known about the effects of chemically altered food to say that microwaves are not harmful to humans.
The Fix
