How did Big Pharma manage to so completely hijack medical science, taking over the medical journals, FDA regulators, science researchers and medical schools? And why hasn't this been stopped? Why have these chemical crimes against children continued to be tolerated -- even encouraged! -- by the Food and Drug Administration and a Big Pharm-funded U.S. Congress? (Note of hope: There is one peer-reviewed medical journal that remains honest and publishes good medical science: PLoS Medicine, an open-source journal that accepts no advertising from drug companies... |

It must be kept in mind, however, that the human body is basically an ambulatory colony of trillions of benevolent bacteria of many species, and their complex activity in metabolism and absorption of specific compounds is just becoming known to medical science. Another complication is that we mortals take into our digestive systems all kinds of other foods, before, during, and after consuming chocolate, so that these variables should be taken into consideration. And of course, as we have said above, from the chemical point of view, by itself chocolate is an incredibly complex substance. |

Real science is about the search for truth and an understanding of the laws of nature, but modern medical science (conventional medicine) is little more than a search for profits at the expense of public health. It has nothing whatsoever to do with genuine science. And as the public wises up to this, the future of conventional medicine doesn't have a prayer.
After the collapse of Western medicine, real health care will inevitably end up returning to its roots: The healing power of nature. |

The old division of body and mind into completely separate and independent entities is crumbling fast with the knowledge supplied by the more progressive wings of medical science such as Psycho-Neuro-Immunology or Mind/Body Medicine. The division of body and mind, which is based on the old and outdated paradigms of understanding human nature, has never really existed. Nevertheless, this false notion about the true reality of human existence continues to make man believe he is essentially a physical being. And to some degree, we all agree with that idea. |

For years afterward, others within the French medical profession, goaded by Charcot, did their best to rise to the challenge of containing and explaining the phenomenon of Lourdes; like Charcot, they were clear that too much was at stake for medical science to simply respond with silence.11
Better health through right thinking, part one: Christian Science
In the United States, things unfolded differently. |
| Medical science was persuaded that the immune system performed these functions in a wholly autonomous fashion, unaffected by input from the nervous system or any other part of the body. Nothing could deter it from its self-appointed path. Indeed, it had been found that one could take the relevant cells and substances out of the host body and put them in a petri dish with some toxin or foreign agent, and they would still move smoothly into action, just as they would under normal (in vivo) conditions. |

In 1997, Gilbert was fascinated by the prospect of opening one of the most tightly shut black boxes of modern medical science: she wanted to see in the lab how cellular processes break down when exposed to an environmental toxin. In particular, she wanted to pinpoint what happens when the body, unable to tolerate the toxic load, begins to destroy its own tissue in an autoimmune response.
And that was a tall order. |

| According to current medical science, Types 3 and 4 stools (if passed once every three days) qualify as "normal." I strongly disagree with this as I firmly believe you should have at least two Type 3 or 4 bowel movements every single day.
In general, constipated people produce stools that are categorized as either Type 1 or Type 2. Research indicates over 60 million people live with the daily discomfort of passing unhealthy bowel movements.33
People suffering from diarrhea pass Type 5, 6, or 7 stools on an uncomfortably frequent basis. |

Most doctors are complete idiots because they follow a dogmatic, religious-like belief in blatantly outdated junk medical science, even when real world observations and evidence demands the embracing of ideas that overthrow previously protected beliefs and career egos.
Until doctors can abandon their egos and admit they don't know everything, they will continue to be full of crap.
The purpose behind this satire piece is not to engage in silly name-calling exercises, but rather to play an important role in social commentary on the huge failures of modern medicine today. |

This is not merely a terrible medical science mistake on their part; it also established that the medical community is only interested in dogma, not scientific curiosity, and that it will routinely ignore any emerging facts that disagree with its own established dogma. In other words, autism isn't linked to vaccines because they say so. And why do they say so? Because they say so! (Circular logic and self-reinforced delusions... the bedrock of pharmaceutical medicine today.)

Much of medical science today has become a self-reinforcing exercise in pro-pharma dogma. Listening to drug-company funded researchers talk about nutritional science is a lot like listening to President Bush talk about peace: There is simply no connection with reality.

While medical science has made advances, "natural" approaches are achieving cures in areas previously thought to be incurable. Energy or vibrational medicine, practiced in the East for hundreds of years, is now being embraced in the West and advanced by discoveries in technology. But almost totally ignored is the potential of the creative or spiritual aspect within all of us to be our most powerful ally for health.

| According to medical science, no specific cause of IBS has been identified, although some theories suggest many people with IBS may be overly sensitive to certain substances that do not bother the typical digestive system. Stress, large meals, gas, medicines, certain foods, coffee, milk, and alcohol are some of the many stimuli that can irritate the colon.
I'll let you in on a little secret—you want to know what really causes IBS? (I'm sure you already know by this point.) It's the accumulation and constant bombardment of toxins within your colon!

But there is no denying it: countless cures have been attributed to a force that cannot be measured or explained by medical science.
The ancient tradition of faith or spiritual healing has been embraced by many different religions, and in modern times has been associated with Christianity. Most churches have some form of healing ritual, whether it be simple prayers for the sick at weekly services or special individual bedside services. Religious systems such as Christian Science preach spiritual healing as part of their creed. |

Not only did he urge the Government to try the Chinese remedy, he justified his request by noting that 'the disease had baffled medical science to a great extent.' Perhaps even worse, he suggested that 'the vast empire of China' could hold at least a few drugs 'which might be of extreme value to this colony'. Campbell even proposed that a Chinese practitioner, Ah Sue, perform the trial according to his usual methods, albeit under medical scrutiny. This was a step too far. |

They reported that "tea cat-echins inhibit the activity of cholera toxin, and protect against cholera infection." Furthermore, they recommended that physicians consider adding polyphenols to the therapies currently used in the treatment of cholera patients to hasten their recovery. |

For a person trained in medical science I did what comes naturally: I decided to run my own clinical trial. I culled my records to find five of my worst fibromyalgia patients and asked them to visit my office. (How's that for a twist—a doctor calling a patient to make an appointment?) I shared Liz's story with all of them and suggested they consider taking nutritional supplements. I told each patient that I had no idea whether this "alternative treatment" would help, but it was worth a try.
Typical fibromyalgia sufferers are despondent, so each of my five subjects was very eager. |
| We have been marvelously and wonderfully made. medical science is now just showing us that we have to optimize these natural healing systems that are already present. We must take advantage of humanity's most tremendous asset in healing, "the host," which is our own body.
Sometimes the physician has a tough time getting any healing to occur. Nothing frustrates a physician more than dealing with a compromised immune system. This happens frequently with people suffering from full-blown AIDS or those who have been taking chemotherapeutic drugs. |
| In other words the root cause of these diseases is oxidative stress. medical science has now shown us that the underlying cause of these terrible diseases we all fear with the coming of age is the unsuspected dark side of oxygen.

This has been denied by medical science for many years, but has recently been verified through major medical research. The majority of the chronic disorders plaguing our modern world today, including heart disease, cancer, arthritis, MS, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's, etc., may in actual fact not be separate diseases at all. We already know that Alzheimer's disease is the third form of diabetes—"type 3 diabetes." While sharing the same cause or causes, they manifest themselves in different parts of the body as unique symptoms of disease. |

Omega-3 oils
In one lab experiment after another, the provision of omega-6 oil (such as corn oil) enhances the growth of tumor cells, while omega-3 oil (such as from fish or flaxseed) inhibits tumor cell growth. [Nutrition Cancer 37:119-27, 2000; Neoplasia 8:112-24, 2006] While both of these oils are essential for life, omega-3 oils are in such short supply in Western diets as to favor tumor growth.
