The first of these is intuition, the bird's eye of her ever busy love.... Were this intuition fixed and educated, it would readily pass into stable medical sight. Her fine sense animated by this, might soon eclipse the corresponding organism in the man in several fields of diagnosis....31
Homeopathy had much to gain from recruiting women. For example, as he recited these stereotypes of femininity and invited women into the homeopathic profession, Wilkinson also claimed for homeopathy the purity that had become a 'feminine' trait. |

This causes separation from our primary perception, which informs our senses, guides our intuition, and instills our life with meaning.
A student's client came to her for a massage and in the course of the massage he mentioned suffering from chest pains. Jill placed her hand on his heart and immediately the spirit of Hawthorn appeared in her energy field. She knew that his heart had been displaced. Previously, Hawthorn had shown Jill how to place her hands in order to bring the heart back to its rightful place. She put one hand on his heart and one on his head. |

My own logic and intuition strongly suggested that the converse might also be true: reducing fat in the diet might make coronary artery disease cease to progress—and even partially reverse. In fact, this had been demonstrated in monkeys. They had acquired the disease after being fed a diet deliberately loaded with fat; when the dietary fat was reduced, their disease had reversed.5 There was no doubt in my mind that further research into the nutrition-disease connection was well worth the effort. |

| She is blessed alike to the simple and to the wise; for behind her vow there lies a profound intuition, world-redeeming, world-sustaining. The pause on the threshold of Nirvana, the resolution to forego until the end of time (which never ends) immersion in the untroubled pool of eternity, represents a realization that the distinction between eternity and time is only apparent—made, perforce, by the rational mind, but dissolved in the perfect knowledge of the mind that has transcended the pairs of opposites. |

This was clinical intuition. The question was, could it be validated objectively in a clinical study? To find out, Friedman and Rosenman and two colleagues studied forty accountants for six months: three months before April 15 (the date when tax returns must be filed in the United States) and three months after that date. Every two weeks, these physicians measured their subjects' cholesterol levels and the speed with which their blood clotted (rapid clotting was considered a risk factor for heart disease). Sure enough, by late March and early April, both had increased significantly. |

Whenever you apply the muscle test, you will reawaken the inner wisdom of your body and strengthen your natural instincts, trust and intuition. Eventually, you won't need to apply the test anymore to know what is and what isn't beneficial for you. To conduct the test, find yourself a partner. Follow these simple steps for muscle testing:
1. Both of you need to stand. Your left arm should hang down relaxed by your side, while your right arm is extended in a horizontal position, with your elbow stretched. (If you are left-handed, use your left arm for testing.)
2. |
| It should be the primary aim of medical training to produce a warm-hearted, honest and optimistic doctor who listens to his intuition and feels both compassion and love for his fellow human beings. Medical students should be tested for these basic human characteristics. Those students who are unable to pass this test should be prohibited from practicing medicine. The doctor's very presence can work as medicine. What kind of therapy he uses may, indeed, prove to be of secondary or complementary value. |
| Waiting for the scientific proof is but an excuse for not trusting one's intuition and natural instinct. The messages that we all receive from nature are direct and need no intellectual interpretation. In fact, trying to figure out everything, to know it intellectually, tends to steer you away from the ability to listen to the inner wisdom bestowed to you by nature itself. The wisdom of how to live a healthy, happy life is intrinsic to the body, mind and spirit of every person. |
| But, whatever body-type you are, start trusting your intuition and listening to the signals from your body each and every moment of the day. One day you may have eaten a particular food such as a bar of chocolate and the next day you suffer a headache. If you ate a salad or fruit for supper, you may feel sluggish and irritable the next morning, because it has fermented in your intestines during the night. Nobody knows your body better than you do.
If you feel inclined to only eating raw, unprepared foods, it means that your body may require cleansing. |

But before you can have an intuitive connection, you have to be willing, within the belief structure, to touch the area unconditionally. intuition is really the spiritual-emotional communication flow. To develop your intuition you want to become very aware of the emotional body. Your intuition is one way Spirit can speak to you without getting fragmented. And the body can be involved with intuition as you allow yourself to sink deeper into it. |

Before the advent of modern medicine, the family was dependent on a mother's
XV intuition accompanied by her time-honored remedies as the first line of defense in preserving the family's health and well-being. Going to see the doctor at the first sniffle, cough, or other sign of distress used to be "Plan B," not "Plan A." But as utilization of modern medicine increased, the focus on using food as medicine declined. |

It corresponds to the hormonal system, glandular system, pain relief, and eyesight. intuition and perception are placed within this chakra. The endocrine gland associated with it is the pineal. Some people place the pituitary here, but because this chakra is associated with light and the pineal gland controls light in the body, I believe that this is its proper placement.
The seventh chakra is the crown, and it sits on the top of the head and has a purple or violet color. It corresponds with the nervous system and brain function, with integrity and wisdom as its pervading qualities. |
| In this new time the people's hearts were open, their intuition was honored, they recognized the divine in all living things, they lived in a sustainable way without greed, they no longer oppressed others, and there was no war. The people heard these stories and they were pleased. One small boy looked to the elder plant spirit and said, "But how do we do this?" Then all the plant spirits began to teach the people how to live co-creatively so that a new paradigm could emerge. The people took the teachings of the plant spirits and they went home and began to practice them. |
| The biggest stumbling block for my students in becoming confident about practicing Plant Spirit Healing is learning to trust their intuition. I can't tell you how many times I've heard someone say, "Maybe it's just my imagination." I say to them, "Where does imagination come from?" If we can't imagine, we can't dream, and if we can't dream, we are destined to a mere three-dimensional existence. When we speak of imagination, we are not referring to fantasy but instead to a creative ability. |

It honors the best live-food nutritional research, and simultaneously allows for your own intuition about what you need in your cuisine to individualize your diet. Was this because he knew mugwort would protect him or was it to help him open his third eye and intuition, to bring him close to spirit through his visions, another way of entering the dreamtime?
One of the nine sacred herbs given to the world by the god Woden, mugwort was called Una or the first and oldest of herbs, the mother of all herbs. And so it is in Plant Spirit Healing. If you were to pick one plant to work with and have as your ally, let it be Mugwort.
The heart of Mugwort has many healing attributes and some directly relate to how the plant spirit heals. |

Sometimes, intuition and logic point strongly to an answer that has not yet been proven through the scientific method. There are some classic examples in medical history. In the mid-nineteenth century, for instance, an English physician named John Snow removed the handle from the Broad Street pump in London because he was convinced that somehow the shared water was causing a devastating cholera epidemic. He was right. It was many decades later that science identified the waterborne organism that causes cholera, but Dr. Snow intuited what the problem was, and he saved the town. |

Medicine is both an art and a science, they say, the art being the intuition and informed guesswork they apply in the absence of clear symptoms or good data for what treatments work best. Deans of medical schools often tell graduating doctors that half of what they have learned in the past four years is wrong—but nobody knows which half. Still, many doctors did not appreciate having Wennberg point out to them that the medicine they were practicing fell in the category of the wrong half. |

I came up over the next rise, saw hundreds of acres of forest on both sides of the highway that had been clear-cut by the logging industry, and immediately understood what my intuition was trying to tell me.
Intuitive thought is a subtle form of awareness most people don't "hear" because of all the loud static carried in our minds and the surrounding environment. It is nonetheless present in all people, and you can develop it to a high degree of sophistication. I will introduce you to the skills you'll require to experience it before the close of this chapter. |

In the same way the five physical senses send impulses to the brain that are translated into sensory perception, emotions translate your intuition and instant insights into feelings. Emotion is an essential component of your integrity. Emotions are always full of good information because they never, ever lie.
Even without words—without definition or description—emotions provide guidance and essential information translating intuition into feelings.

This experiment seems to confirm Schrodinger's intuition that the wave aspect of mattet dominates and that particles are illusions that arise out of the behavior of quantum field interactions. The result from Afshar's initial experiment flies in the face of the Standard Model, meaning, as he says, that "something everyone believed for 80 years may be wrong." That "something" to which he is referring is the particle aspect of the photon, for according to Afshar, light may be only a wave. |

| Stekel arrived at his interpretations of symbols by way of intuition, thanks to a peculiar gift for the direct understanding of them. . . . Advances in psycho-analytic experience have brought to our notice patients who have shown a direct understanding of dream-symbolism of this kind to a surprising extent. . . . This symbolism is not peculiar to dreams, but is characteristic of unconscious ideation, in particular among the people, and it is to be found in folklore, and in popular myths, legends, linguistic idioms, proverbial wisdom and current jokes, to a more complete extent than in dreams. |

I can almost hear some of you thinking, "Well, that's great for him, but I could never do that; I can't visualize and I have never been psychic at all!" That is just what the wife of a famous chiropractor told me. I stopped her before she could get too worked up and I asked her a simple question. "Close your eyes and tell me, can you imagine what the inside of your house looks like?" "Of course," she replied. |
| In fact, I have come to rely upon incidences of intuition, "magic," or the seemingly miraculous to occur. But this was a little over the top, even for me! In my vision I saw a yellow ray streaming forth from Superman's eyes. Yes, I know X-rays can't be seen by the naked eye, but I had to be able to see the energy in order to know that something was happening. I decided that whether this was a powerful hallucination, a messenger, or something from The X-Files, it was obviously important. I resolved to pay close attention and do whatever seemed to be the most likely course of action. |

| The tearoom, called "the abode of fancy," is an ephemeral structure built to enclose a moment of poetic intuition. Called too "the abode of vacancy," it is devoid of ornamentation. Temporarily it contains a single picture or flower-arrangement. The teahouse is called "the abode of the unsymmetrical": the unsymmetrical suggests movement; the purposely unfinished leaves a vacuum into which the imagination of the beholder can pour.

By trusting our intuition we step into an awakened state of knowing where we don't need to rely on anyone else to inform us or instruct us. Teaching situations merely provide an opportunity for us to practice what we inherently know to be true. In the fifth chakra we interact through sound and in the sixth chakra we interact through light. In the visual frequency range we experience light through colors, which is one of the main ways we know the vibration of a particular chakra. The third-eye chakra helps us to hone our ability to interpret the effects of different color frequencies. |

This kind of constant interaction might account for intuition or creativity - and how ideas come to us in bursts of insight, sometimes in fragments but often as a miraculous whole. An intuitive leap might simply be a sudden coalescence of coherence in The Field.
The fact that the human body was exchanging information with a mutable field of quantum fluctuation suggested something profound about the world. It hinted at human capabilities for knowledge and communication far deeper and more extended than we presently understand. |
