America is the land of the free, the home of the brave and a country where we're supposed to understand what justice is all about and where we fought for freedom, they say. freedom of what? freedom to keep dosing our children on prescription drugs? No! I say we have the freedom to know the truth about the drug companies.
The only freedoms we're really fighting for are freedoms like the one I'm exercising here, freedom of speech. This is the one freedom that is the most powerful of all, because it is the freedom that can protect all the other freedoms, and, ultimately, our children. |

But barring any such discovery, I will continue to educate people on why the FDA is so dangerous, not merely to freedom of Religion, but also to freedom of Speech, health freedoms and even the freedom to save your own life using the system of medicine of your choice.
The FDA has done more to suppress the freedoms of the American people than any enemy combatant, terrorist group or "axis of evil." The real enemies to a free America are right here at home. It's time we recognized this serious threat and took action to eliminate it through desperately-needed reforms.
End FDA tyranny. |

It all makes me wonder: With all the talk about "freedom" today, didn't anybody stop to think about the freedoms we desperately need right here at home? The true enemies of freedom, it seems, have medical degrees. They don't wield weapons of mass destruction delivered by rockets, they wield chemical weapons delivered by injection. The day we stand up and declare our freedom from the scourge of conventional medicine and all its oppressive, authoritarian tactics will be a day of genuine freedom for Americans. |

Health freedom movement?
Next question: Many readers have correctly pointed out that there is a tremendous amount of disagreement in the so-called "health freedom movement" about the FDA's new CAM Guidelines. Some people say they're no big deal and there's nothing to get worried about. Others, like me, say they're of serious concern. What's up with this? Why the disagreement?
The truth is there's no such thing as any organized health freedom movement. Anybody can call themselves a member of the health freedom movement simply by stating so. |

To maintain its control over the people and the entire medical industry, the FDA seems willing to do whatever is necessary, including violating freedom of Religion, freedom of Speech, and any other freedom that gets in its way. It will violate federal laws, knowingly engage in fraudulent science, violate basic human ethics and morals, and use intimidation at every opportunity to protect its power over both industry and the public. |

Remember: If you don't believe in freedom of religion for OTHER people's religions, then you don't believe in it at all. My beliefs intersect with many religions and religious figures. For example, I am an avid reader of the Dalai Lama's books and consider his investigations into the workings of the mind to be fascinating from both a scientific and spiritual viewpoint.

The Food and Drug Administration is, quite literally, the enemy of freedom (including religious freedom), and giving money to the drug companies by buying prescription medications is much like doing business with the devil. If we continue to support these industries, we will one day wake up and find ourselves imprisoned in a diseased, God-less nation of tyrants who prey upon degenerative disease to shore up their own power and profits. |

On issues of religion, I happen to believe in genuine freedom of Religion, and that means there's room in my belief system for other people to practice whatever kind of religion they want, even if it's eccentric or unpopular. I also believe in personal liberty, meaning that I respect individuals' rights to determine in their own personal way whatever system of belief serves them best.

Legalize hemp and make long-term prescription drug use illegal
Now, if we had honest leaders in this country, prescription drugs would be illegal, at least for long-term use, and hemp would be legal. We could grow hemp for industrial use. |

John: Yes, well, they do not want us to have freedom of speech. They do not want us to have any freedom at all, and they are working very hard on moving us in the direction of microchipping everybody, which is why I need people to go see Aaron Rouseau's film, "From freedom to Fascism." It is playing in theaters now in some parts of the country, and we need a grassroots effort to talk to the theater owners to ask them to book the film.
Mike: Yes, that is right. Sometimes it is hard for these independent films even to get into distribution.
John: Everyone needs to watch the trailer at www. |

John: There are different entities out there that are a bit of a joke. That is life in the big city. That is Capitol Hill for you. It is just a cesspool.

The day we stand up and declare our freedom from the scourge of conventional medicine and all its oppressive, authoritarian tactics will be a day of genuine freedom for Americans. Until then, we can fight all the wars in the world and yet still be enslaved by a system of medicine at home that absolutely refuses to acknowledge the existence of anything beyond what it controls and profits from.

Health freedom author and nutritional supplement formulator Byron Richards has spearheaded much of the commentary on this bill, and support for defeating the bill has come from many camps in the health freedom movement, including the Life Extension Foundation (www.LEF.org), raw foods pioneer Dr. Gabriel Cousens (www.TreeofLife.nu), John Hammel's International Advocate for Health freedom (www.nocodexgenocide.com), the National Health Federation (www.TheNFH.com) and many others. This would disallow the pro-health freedom Emord amendments which Rep. Ron Paul is ready to introduce on the floor. But thanks to Majority leader Nancy Pelosi, who has placed HR 2900 on a "Suspension Calendar" status, no debate or amendments will be allowed.
This may be a strategy by Pelosi to disallow pro-Pharma amendments from various congressional Republicans who want to water down the language, but it also has the side effect of sidelining important health freedom amendments that did not make it into the Senate version of the bill. |

He was actually trained as a physician, and yet unlike most other physicians, he believes in genuine freedom for patients. Paul believes that patients should have open access to scientifically accurate information about the usefulness of natural remedies and nutritional supplements. This just goes to prove that not all doctors are idiots!
In fact, as I've stated in every article I've written that's critical of doctors, many of the strongest advocates for health freedom are, in fact, doctors. |

Nearly 25,000 of the donors were new donors, indicating that Ron Paul's support base continues to rapidly expand, reaching new people who resonate with the message of genuine freedom for the American people.
Registered as a Republican, Ron Paul is actually a Libertarian who strongly disagrees with the current Republican administration. Paul is against the war in Iraq, against the Federal Reserve running the nation's money supply, and against the United States surrendering its sovereignty to outside authorities such as the World Trade Organization. |
| If you believe in freedom and you want to support a candidate that will actually work to restore it, Ron Paul is the only sensible choice for the next U.S. President. Everybody else will only defend the current system with minor tweaks or reforms. |

All made possible by Free Speech on the Internet
The internet is making all of this possible, and it’s freedom of speech that provides the environment in which all of this can take place. So whatever you do in 2006 to improve your health, make sure you also continue to support the internet.
Support freedom of speech and citizen journalism, support the web sites that are bringing you the information that helps you improve your life, and support the companies in the nutritional industry that are providing these incredible life-saving, disease-reversing products. |

Health freedom advocates are now characterizing the final bill as the, "Big Pharma Protection Act of 2007" due to its emphasis on protecting the monopoly drug market in the United States while doing very little to accomplish its stated goals of increasing the "safety" of prescription drugs.
Analysis by Mike Adams (opinion)
The passage of S.1082 is a terrible defeat for Americans, but a huge victory for Big Pharma and the FDA. The bill expands the FDA's powers and keeps in place a hugely profitable Big Pharma monopoly over U.S. consumers that is right now bankrupting our nation. |

That was hell on earth, and so I have a lot to motivate me to educate people about what freedom even means in a general sense.
It has been said that once you have lost and then regained your freedom, you are always pressing against unseen bars. I believe there is some truth to that, because I feel motivated by the realization of how horrible it is to be locked up, have people dangling keys in your face and wielding complete power over your every move.
I know what that is like, and I see an effort being made to put us into what amounts to a prison planet through things like the Real ID Act. |
| Well, people may not realize that this Health freedom Protection Act put forth by Congressman Ron Paul, who I believe is a Libertarian, at least philosophically, would really create an environment of expanding freedom. It would rein in the FDA.
John: Well it would, but unless we get a Senate co-sponsor, it is not going to go anywhere. You have to get bills introduced in both branches of Congress, and then if it gets through the House and if it gets through the Senate, then they are co-joined in a conference committee and as one package, it goes to the President's desk. |
