Winnipeg free press, July 15, 1995] Morrison LM, Schjeide OA, Coronary Heart Disease and the Mucopolysaccharides (glycosaminoglycans), Charles C Thomas, Springfield, III, 1974, This is taken from the Winnipeg free press, Saturday, July 15, 1995: Female sex hormones increase HA and collagen production in the mammary glands. In rodents, estrogen and progesterone administered together elevate levels of chondroitin and HA. Estrogen alone elevates HA while progesterone only elevates concentrations of chondroitin sulfate.

China executes top FDA official while the U.S. does nothing to counter corruption

In an honest society with a truly free press, the Washington Post should be calling for a massive FDA investigation and prosecution effort. After all, investigating a corrupt agency responsible for killing 100,000 Americans each year (which is a conservative estimate of the number of Americans killed each year by FDA-approved prescription drugs) should obviously be a very high priority for a free press. It's the story of the decade. And yet there's no interest whatsoever in conducting such an investigation or publishing an editorial calling for the arrest and prosecution of U.S. FDA officials.

Blocking the cancer receptor site The Winnipeg free press in Canada reported a startling story of widespread interest on July 15th, 1995. The report said Manitoba scientists found they can stop the spread of cancer in mice by turning off a cancer cell's sensing ability. Sensors, called receptor sites, on the surface of living cells, are able to be knocked out and completely block the spread of a tumor. The knocked-out receptors later return to normal when the cancer risk has subsided. It's like pulling blinders over a cell. Tumor cells just die once they are blinded.

Finally, I have to wonder, what good is a free press if it's a false press? Our forefathers (and mothers) fought hard to create a nation with protections for the freedom of the press, and yet now the press has become the oppressor. There is no freedom in ignorance.

I didn't work for the free press or Wards Auto News and know all of the players like they did. I wasn't sure what to expect when I got off the bus at the redbrick entry and walked inside Ford. About all I knew was that the company founder, Henry Ford, invented the assembly line or at least received much of the credit for doing so. Fortunately, I had armed myself with Douglas Brinkley's excellent one-volume history of Henry Ford, the man and the company, in Wheels for the World. So I knew just enough about Ford to know that I knew next to nothing.

They talk about a free press, but give me a break. It's a financially controlled press. If you want to learn the real information about the bird flu, stay tuned to this channel right here. Check out independent- minded, unbiased people in the world of naturopathy or herbal medicine or traditional Chinese medicine. Chinese medicine can lick this thing in no time. You want to lick the bird flu virus? Go visit a Chinese herbalist. Go to San Francisco, down to Chinatown, and tell them you're afraid of the bird flu virus.
This is the truth that the mainstream press refuses to print, and they say we have a free press in this country. We have a controlled, manipulated, censored press in this country, and that's why you're only being told about two things. That's why this has to come from people, like me, who are independent – people who don't take advertising money from drug companies, which is not something any of the newspapers, magazines or news programs can say. They're all taking this money, so of course they are not going to talk about beating the bird flu virus with herbs.

American news industry a far cry from genuine journalism

Mike Adams, the Health Ranger

Some people claim that we have a free press in this nation. Free from what? Free from free speech, apparently. It's free from new ideas and the foundation of journalism on which this country was based. When was the last time a reporter had the guts to break a big story like Watergate? The last one I can recall was a story by Pulitzer Prize-winning Gary Webb about the CIA and its drug connection. And he ended up committing suicide just last year, if you can believe that. Click here to see story. Where is the honest reporting in this country?

It's a brilliant marketing strategy, if you think about it, given the amount of free press they are getting.6 Reformulating products with whole grain is just one recent addition to the processed-food industry's burgeoning bag of marketing tricks. Touting products as "zero trans fat" is another popular promotion ploy, especially since the feds added trans fat to the required "Nutrition Facts" label. Regardless of whether they ever contained the artery-congesting substance to begin with, many otherwise nutritionally dismal items now sport trans fat free labels like badges of honor.

How Advertising Pressure Can Corrupt a Free Press 1992 SYNOPSIS: The free press in America isn't free at all—at least from the influence of advertisers on the content of the news. While people fear governmental control of the media, a far more subtle yet pervasive influence comes from advertiser pressure. "Dictating Content: How Advertising Pressure Can Corrupt a free press," a report by the Center for the Study of Commercialism, documents dozens of examples of advertiser censorship in the media.
