One way to know if you might be a candidate is to look at your fingernails and to think about your dreams. Are there little white dots on all your fingernails, and can you remember the content of your dreams consistently? If the answer is, "Yes, I've got white dots, and no, I don't remember my dreams," you need to be tested for phillyrea and have that corrected.

I once had dreams for the future, but along the way I had forgotten them. I had assumed the role of victim, addicted to assigning blame outside of myself for all the things in my life that weren't going the way I thought they should.
My time with don Miguel, exploring the teachings of the Toltec, exposed me to a powerful framework for creating long-lasting change. Slowly but surely, I began to clearly see what I had agreed to believe. I discovered which beliefs were holding me back and learned simple yet powerful techniques to change them once and for all. |
| Rather than asking, What is the one thing keeping me from living my dreams ? take a moment and ask yourself: þWhat have I agreed to and what is that creating'? þHow is my own unique perspective driving my decisions, actions, and reactions ? þDoes my outlook ever keep me from realizing my deepest desires ? þWho are these people in my life and how are they reflecting what I believe?
Noticing this dynamic can be startling. When you decide to make real and fundamental changes, many times the characters in your movie—beyond your immediate family—also need to change. |
| The art of living your dream is noticing that every mind dreams. Acting accordingly, you recognize the authentic power you have and deliberately begin using all the elements of belief.
What we believe is fdled with remarkable promise. There are six billion-plus virtual realities on our planet creating what the Toltec called The Dream of the Planet. That collective dream spawns art, innovation, invention, emerging trends, and new cultures as well as violence, intolerance, prejudice, pollution, addiction, crime, and war.
We are all in this together, but many live in a world of wounds. |

Alan Vaughan, a well-known clairvoyant whose dreams accurately foretold the future in great detail, kept a detailed dream diary in order to compare their contents with future events. One of Vaughan's dreams predicted the murder of the presidential candidate Robert Kennedy two days before he was assassinated.38 An examination of the geomagnetic activity on the nights that Vaughan had dreamed sixty-one such premonitions showed that it was significantly quieter on the days when he had his most accurate dreams. |

As the moon goddess she embodies the magic of the dreamtime and imparts to mugwort the ability to easily enter daydreams, night dreams, and journey dreams, returning just as easily with insight, clarity, and deep knowing. When you engage Mugwort's Artemis essence she becomes your protectress against negative energies and "evil spirits," as the old time herbalists say.
Mugwort has also been called St. John's Girdle, and it is said that John the Baptist wore a girdle of mugwort while in the wilderness. |

They described beliefs as filters through which the mind dreams; thus the essence of our experiences is crafted by what we have agreed to believe. Today, quantum physics, cutting-edge neuroscience, and countless spiritual traditions old and new tell us the very same thing. We are the masters of our own reality, our virtual assessment and judgment of life's richness, our waking life-dream.
You are living your dream! Perhaps a better question to ask is: What is the dream I'm living, and is it serving my highest good? |
| Lucid dreamers, unlike normal dreamers, can make choices in their dreams.
At the beginning of his research, Dr. LaBerge found this to be an intriguing idea. Buddhist tradition, along with many other ancient cultures, described life, both awake and asleep, as a dream. But inside the concept of lucid dreaming lies a paradox: How can you be conscious and unconscious at the same time}
What Dr. LaBerge discovered is that consciousness is not always body-specific. |
| What we select to believe forms an intricate filter through which we perceive everything, a lens projecting a kaleidoscope of dreams, memories, and thoughts all wrapped up in an emotional point of view. What we experience in every moment is an interpretation, a mind-altering simulation, magically created by the amazing power of what we have chosen to believe.
The magic of belief is part of each and every one of us. Its dynamics cannot be changed, nor do they need to be. |

During days of geomagnetic calm, spontaneous instances of telepathy or clairvoyance are more likely to occur40 and remote viewing accuracy is more likely to improve.41 Persinger carried out his own intriguing test of ESP using a group of couples. |

In her dreams she felt hurt, lonely, isolated, and without help. That stratum of hurt lay just below the thought level. Finding and feeling the source of the terror gave meaning to the dream. To follow evolution we need to speak the limbic language, sink into the feelings of the dream, which are always exact, and the meaning will arrive all by itself out of those feelings. Verbal and feeling languages are universes apart. The meanings of dream images are direct offshoots from the feeling itself, which may reside very deep in the brain. dreams have no universal meanings, only personal ones. |

Krippner had perfected an experimental protocol to test telepathy, clairvoyance, and precognition in dreams during deep sleep. Volunteers would be paired off. While one partner slept, the other would be in a separate room and would be asked to concentrate on an image and attempt to "transmit" the image to the dreamer, so that it would be incorporated into his dream. Upon waking, the participants who had been sleeping would describe their dreams in great detail, to determine whether they contained anything resembling the target pictures they had been sent during their slumbers. |

Sell them their dreams," a radio announcer urged a convention of displaymen in 1923. "Sell them what they longed for and hoped for and almost despaired of having . . . Sell them this hope and you won't have to worry about selling them goods."
Like the displaymen before them, the medicine merchants have learned to sell us our hopes and dreams, a pill for our every desire. Too few of us realize the dangers.

Harry experienced unexpected emotional responses to the remedies, including vivid dreams. He said, "The combination of remedies for compartments 1, 7, and 12 began unblocking years of bottled up emotions. I began to get amazing flashbacks and realizations, mostly in dreams, into the significant events that had shaped my life. I had what I can only describe as a sort of peace or feelings of resolution."
Harry precisely followed Peter's instructions, and after a few months on the remedies, he felt much better. In fact, he thought he was back to normal, if not cured, but Peter knew better. |

| Particularly after the work of the psychoanalysts, there can be little doubt, either that myths are of the nature of dream, or that dreams are symptomatic of the dynamics of the psyche. Sigmund Freud, Carl G. Jung, Wilhelm Stekel, Otto Rank, Karl Abraham, Geza R6heim, and many others have within the past few decades developed a vastly documented modern lore of dream and myth interpretation; and though the doctors differ among themselves, they are united into one great modern movement by a considerable body of common principles. |
| Why attempt to make plausible, or even interesting, to men and women consumed with passion, the experience of transcendental bliss? As dreams that were momentous by night may seem simply silly in the light of day, so the poet and the prophet can discover themselves playing the idiot before a jury of sober eyes. The easy thing is to commit the whole community to the devil and retire again into the heavenly rock-dwelling, close the door, and make it fast. |

Its nature is "bliss," an ecstatic state of ever-new joy, and with it comes the power and insight you need to heal yourself and accomplish your dreams.
I can't make this point strongly enough: meditation is one of the greatest gifts you will ever receive.
So Many Distractions
Why don't you have this bliss now? I assure you, you are one with the ocean of the universal super-conscious mind—you and God are one. You are simply unaware of it. You are like a corked bottle filled with seawater floating in the ocean. What's keeping the water in that bottle from merging with the ocean? The bottle. |

Some therapies have used confrontational approaches, or, in order to create "the blank slate" upon which the patient can freely project their dreams and fantasies and so on, the therapeutic hierarchy has been made necessarily unequal.
So nakedly collaborative is CBT that the therapist is instructed to ask for feedback from the patient at the end of each session. "What was helpful?" "Was there anything I didn't understand?" "Is there anything you'd like to do differendy next session?" CBT is also formidably goal-oriented. |
| When was the last time someone wanted to analyze your dreams? All that has been replaced by talk of chemical imbalances and hardwiring. But unglam-orous as it has become, accused at times of being merely an expensive form of hand-holding, the fact remains that psychotherapy helps people feel and function better. A broad analysis of many studies found that by the end of psychotherapy, the average treated patient is better off and functioning better than 80 percent of untreated patients. |
| In America, we have too long been held prisoner to the sentiment expressed in that most American of songs, "Over the Rainbow"—that someday, somewhere, somehow, magically and inexorably, all will be bliss, that our troubles will melt like "lemon drops" and that dreams really do come true.

My second modest suggestion: alternate strategy number two: Reentry by Emotional Contrasts We would be nowhere without some emotional pain. Life is best lived with contrast. |
| It was the stuff of dreams, stories, conflicts, sex, aggression, unconscious desires, Freudian slips. It even offered a couch to lie down on! CBT, perhaps to its detriment as an art if not a science, is not narrative- or interpretation-based.40 CBT is a highly effective carpentry of the soul, therapy as technology or engineering as compared to art. This is to its credit as a science but not as a product to be marketed.
But there are signs it may be taking hold. Twice as many psychologists follow CBT as psychoanalytic or psychodynamic approaches. |

He dreamed very big dreams: one day, he hoped, he would play a part in bringing a leading-edge biotechnology to every person's home. Why should ill people, he reasoned, who don't even feel like getting out of bed, have to drag themselves from office to office, clinic to clinic, in search of someone who could figure out what is going on in their bodies? Why couldn't someone devise a way to let the body tell us what was going on with it and how it could best correct itself? |

| Kans that night had ominous dreams. When he woke, he ordered the stadium prepared for the tournament and the trumpets blown for assembly. Krishna and Balarama arrived as jugglers, followed by the cowherds, their friends. When they entered the gate, there was a furious elephant ready to crush them, mighty as ten thousand common elephants. The driver rode it directly at Krishna. Balarama gave it such a blow with his fist that it halted, started back. The driver rode it again, but the two brothers struck it to the ground, and it was dead.
