The death rate of his patients reached an astounding 30 percent, and yet cotton pronounced these as "successful" because the patients, he explained, were no longer suffering from mental disorders. Overall, he proclaimed to have an 80% cure rate. Of course, this 80% includes those who died on the operating table.
The psychiatric community, by the way, enthusiastically accepted Cotton's work as "scientific." In fact, the leaders of psychiatry went out of their way to protect cotton, even giving him a forum from which to lecture and publish the results of his work. |

Cottonseed Oil
Cottonseed oil is a by-product of the cotton industry. The oil is extracted from the meat of the cottonseed (Gossypiutn hirsutum). Approximately 40 percent of the oil is recovered by screw pressing; the remainder is recovered by various types of solvent extraction. Originally, cottonseed oil was all extracted by the hydraulic press method. About 17 percent of the seed is crude oil. This crude oil is subjected to various forms of ref ining, including bleaching, deodorizing, and/or winterizing. |

Strain the ghee while still hot or warm, pouring it through a cotton cloth into a stainless steel or heavy glass container. At this point it is very hot, so you should always be cautious. Another way of doing this is to let the ghee cool down, and then strain it by pouring it through a cotton cloth or handkerchief directly into clean glass jars or bowls.
5. Ghee can be stored at room temperature for several weeks, and it keeps indefinitely when kept in the refrigerator. Put a teaspoonful (per person) into food or on food after cooking it. |
