Many things are done to discredit alternative health. There's one other big thing that I think is worth mentioning. Invariably, alternative health works best when people do it as part of a protocol. Rarely are people told to just take one herb, like echinacea. It's usually part of a formula just like I'm recommending, along with the antipathogens. Alternative cancer treatments are even more involved -- using nutrition supplements, antioxidants and particular herbs. There may be 10 things in the protocol. |
| In other words, you do chemotherapy and it pretty much destroys your immune system, eliminating the option of using the immune system to fight the cancer. alternative health tends to be additive. As I said, you use protocols. You may have 10 things that, if tested alone, are only 10 percent effective each. Seven of them added together will give you something that may be 70 percent effective. You test each one individually, and each one comes in at 10, and they are all rejected by medical testing. |
| Barron: There's another error that goes on, too, and it's within the alternative health community. It's the idea of looking for the magic bullet. It comes out of the medical tradition, and people are hungry for it. They keep buying into it.
Here's a great example that I talk about it in the book: Let's say you have somebody who is born with a slight genetic predisposition to heart disease. |
| I began exploring alternative health. Even back then I started writing on the nature of nutrition and aging. This was a personal exploration. Back then, you didn't have the choices you have now. HSI didn't exist then, a lot of the health newsletters didn't exist then, and you didn't have the number of schools. The only thing you could do was find people who were actually practicing. That was difficult because you had to get through a double blind referral to get to most of them. They were all afraid of being arrested.
Mike: Right. |
| Here's a forum with a lot of doctors and the public, and they wanted to use it to attack me or attack alternative health. I was absolutely unprepared for what happened. I gave my talk, opened it up for Q&A, and someone from the citizenry raised their hand and said, "Dr. Barron," -- I'm not a doctor, but everyone wants to call me a doctor -- "When are we going to be able to stop these murderous doctors, drug cartels and hospitals from killing us?" Unfortunately, I'm a guest of the hospital.
Mike: Of course. |

You decide to seek out a more natural route, alternative health care, because traditional medicine has been no help (to the contrary, it probably made you feel worse!). To your surprise, the alternative health-care provider identifies a problem right away. He may claim that you have "systemic yeast," "leaky gut syndrome," or "subclinical hypothyroidism" as the cause of your symptoms.
Alternative practitioners typically do a hair or eye analysis, blood work, urine test, or muscle exam to determine exactly what you need. |

It should include vitamin B6; magnesium; gamma linolenic acid from borage, evening primrose, or black currant oil; chaste tree (vitex); vitamin E; Saint John's wort; and possibly some traditional herbs for PMS, including dandelion leaf, dong quai, black cohosh, and wild yam. The healing effects of music also are widely touted in the alternative health community, as are laughter and humor, deep breathing, chanting and toning (directed vocalization of sounds or mantras, such as Aum or Om mani padme hum), and many other techniques that involve sound and vibration. One way to explain these healing effects is through the movement of sound at the quantum level through the orbs—as traditional Chinese medicine would call the organs or resonant cavities—of the body. |

Feeding Your Body
Provide your body with:
Food that is full of life and nutrition—raw, organic, mostly alkaline. Water that is pure? to 10 glasses per day; that is, water that has been filtered to remove toxins, and energized to facilitate hydration and energy production. Fresh, clean air.
Moderate, but regular exposure of skin to sunshine. |
| Symptoms can include sweet cravings; nasal itching, congestion and discharge; abdominal pain; belching; bloating; heartburn; constipation; diarrhea; itching; vaginal discharge; worsened pms symptoms; prostatitis; impotence; chronic fungal outbreaks; fatigue; muscle aches; depression; irritability; cold hands and feet; asthma; hay fever; allergies; and eczema. Some alternative health practitioners also believe fibromyalgia is often just Candida in the muscles.38
Once yeast has overgrown and infected other areas of the body, bowel toxemia and deficiency problems must be corrected. |

The growing shift to alternative health care should serve as a wake-up call to the medical community. People are becoming more and more frustrated with the health-care system that their medical insurance covers. So they are frequently resorting to self-help methods and alternative care for answers, even though they have to foot the bill. Simply put, people are sick and tired of being sick and tired. In spite of the fact that physicians are prescribing antidepressants at record levels, alternative care is flourishing in the United States and around the world.
Why? |
| Not only would tremendous improvements occur in their patients' symptoms, doctors would see a significant decline in patients' seeking alternative health care.

Physicians' Bias Against Nutritional Supplements
AS I reflect back on my first years of medical practice, I clearly remember my own bias against nutritional supplements. So I don't have to look any farther than myself when it comes to understanding the basic prejudice doctors have. |

Over the previous few years, Harry had been educating himself about bioenergetics and biophysics—about the energies of the body. He even explored subjects as varied as electronics, computers, chaos theory, and information theory. |

Acidity and Cancer
Acidity is an undesirable state, say many alternative health practitioners. The idea sounds plausible. The theory that an alkaline state is biologically beneficial began in the 1930s when two-time Nobel Prize winner Otto Warburg discovered that cancer cells are acidic. In reality, modern testing reveals cancer cells are slightly more alkaline than acidic, which is why they cannot ward off cancer-causing toxins or germs. Cancer cells are energetically weak and must produce energy via fermentation. |
| The acidity of Streptococcus then eats through the enamel in teeth, resulting in dental cavities. But alternative health practitioners frequently advise their patients to test their pH orally with test strips. Overgrowth of the Streptococcus bacteria, or even reflux of stomach acid into the oral cavity, can result in an acidic state in the mouth. The pH in the mouth, however, does not reflect the pH level in other organs in the body.
A neutral pH is automatically maintained through blood circulation. |

We have to go beyond electromagnetics in alternative health and medicine and into QED fields, and phase shift, and more. As far as we know, NES is the only one doing this work now in relation to the physical body. We hope others will take up the challenge with us. All of these ideas are in their infancy, but they hold enormous potential for creating an entirely new model of biology and medicine. |

The vaccine is absolutely worthless as a medical treatment according to top docs in the alternative health field, and in my opinion, the so-called "science" supporting the vaccine as the only prevention for cervical cancer is an outright fraud.
But the story gets even more interesting when you start connecting the dots. A key Merck lobbyist, a man named Mike Toomey, actually served as the governor's chief of staff. |

This is very important for people to understand, and if you're in this field for a long enough time -- not just the field of raw foods, but just alternative health and nutrition, and even alternative lifestyles -- you do realize that all the solutions have been found. They're not implemented because either people don't know enough about it or spiritual entrepreneurs haven't gotten behind it. Another reason is that it's been deliberately withheld from us.
Mike: Oh, that last reason is a big factor. It goes back to guys like Dr. Weston Price, the dentist, back in the 1930s. |

Basic Neuronutrient Concepts
One basic concept in nutritional therapies and alternative health is that there are many shades of gray—that is, a progression—between health and disease. This is very different from the black-and-white, either/or approach of conventional medicine, in which the absence of any obvious disease is usually considered a state of good health. Synthetic chemicals never intended for anything other than industrial use have also found their way into the alternative health marketplace. In the mid-1980s, dinittophenol was identified as one such emetging toxin—or, more precisely, reemerging. Dinittophenol blocks one of the body's main metabolic pathways, driving up energy consumption (cyanide acts similarly). In the 1930s, dinitrophenol had first been introduced as a weight loss agent. It was taken off the market because it induced blinding catatacts. |
