Air traveler choked to death in police custody at Phoenix airport after being handcuffed, detained

REPPED: Arguing with airport security officials is now apparently risky to your life. Carol Anne Gotbaum, a 45-year-old mother who was arrested at the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport after becoming irate over a missed flight, was later found dead in a law enforcement holding cell. The official story now appearing in the mainstream media -- for those people gullible enough to believe it -- is that the woman choked herself to death with her own handcuffs even though her hands were cuffed behind her back!
We are treated like criminals, detained against our will, searched without probable cause, denied our rights to free speech and essentially kidnapped by airport security goons for as long as they care to mess with us. They wipe down our laptops and screen them for cocaine and explosives using high-end chromatography machines, and if we even dare mention that we are NOT a terrorist, that gives them the justification to arrest you for simply uttering the word "Terrorist!" (If you don't believe me, just try it at the airport and see what happens...
Even the FAA knows that airport security is a complete joke. Once a year or so, the FAA's Inspector General conducts a test where they attempt to sneak fake explosives or weapons onto airplanes using undercover FAA agents. A few years ago, they made 450 attempts to sneak weapons through security at the San Francisco airport. They were only caught 4 times! Do the math: That's a whopping 99% success rate of sneaking weapons onto airplanes! That means for every 100 terrorists who try to sneak weapons onto airplanes, only one would get caught.
Goons, grunts and Nazi wannabees If you've ever traveled in the United States, you've probably already noticed that the airport security people hired by the U.S. government are not exactly the cream of the crop in American society. If it wasn't for the marketing of fear and terror by the U.S. government, many of these people wouldn't even have jobs at all. What they do for a living is of absolutely no benefit to society, and their presence has nothing whatsoever to do with security but everything to do with making sure the population lives in a constant state of fear. Don't believe me?
It's a fact: airport security, as operated in the United States, does not make air travel safe. It does, however, keep the people in a state of constant fear. It's fascinating just how far the United States has devolved into a police state without the population bothering to question authority. The sheeple have given up their rights and freedoms, trading them in for the illusion of security, and as this latest incident with the 45-year-old mother at the Phoenix Airport now clearly demonstrates, arguing with airport police can ultimately get you killed.
That's why bottles of water are routinely confiscated by airport security personnel. They've got the whole population scared into such a terror frenzy that they've convinced people H2O is a weapon! The fear mongering by the TSA has become so insane that just yesterday, they announced that remote-controlled toys would now earn extra scrutiny at security checkpoints. Why?

Senate, House agree on FDA reform; key provisions remain but FDA remains threat to America

Much like the TSA attempts to create the illusion of airport security, the U.S. Congress has only created the illusion of FDA reform. The same criminals are still in charge, and the same drugs are still killing our fellow citizens by the tens of thousands. If this is FDA reform, God help us all when the next President starts talking about health care reform.

Disease sniffer device could provide non-invasive early disease detection by "sniffing" patients

A very similar device is being used right now for airport security, by the way. There is a bomb-sniffing scanner that looks like a high-tech door frame. You step into and it blasts your body with a puff of air, and then that air is drawn through a chemical sensor that looks for molecules related to explosives or various dangerous chemicals that terrorists and other dangerous people might be carrying. I've been in one of these devices myself -- it takes about five seconds to complete the scan.

This makes the tiresome routine of removing one's shoes to go through an airport security check even worse for these folks—and everyone else around them. We don't know why some people have little or no problem with foot odor their entire lives while others are constantly fighting against it. Foot odor is probably linked to another problem, sweaty feet. Most likely the folks who are suffering with stinky toes are playing unwilling host to bacteria and possibly some fungi that feast on sweat and dead skin cells, producing a horrific aroma. • • • Q.

Natural Cures They Don't Want You to Know About

The Associated Press reports how the government agency in charge of airport security, the TSA, spent almost half a million dollars of taxpayer money on a lavish party entertaining themselves. It also gave its senior executives bonuses higher than any other federal government agency and failed to provide adequate justification. These government fat cats are living the big life on our tax dollars. It is reported that government secrecy has increased sharply in the past few years, keeping Americans in the dark about information we should be able to access.

Tropical Nature: Life and Death in the Rain Forests of Central and South America

When you go through airport security, keep all your film in a plastic bag that you can pull out and ask to have hand-checked. Ask politely and you should not be refused. Equipment can make a difference if you spend much time in tropical rain forest. We shy away from automatic cameras because batteries drain more quickly in warm climates and electrical contacts get gummed up more quickly in humid climates. Most automatic cameras become nonfunctional if the electronics fail, while good mechanical cameras continue to function even if their batteries and meters fail.

Oxymorons: The Myth of a U.S. Health Care System

Unfortunately, a drunken passenger went into a rage at the flight attendants because he did not like his seat assignment and had to be forcibly removed from the plane by airport security; this held up our departure just long enough for an afternoon thunderstorm to roll in, stranding us on the runway for an extra half hour. And so I miss my connection and spend another night eating Chinese fast food and browsing the newsstands of O'Hare, wondering if I will make it to Seattle at all for the next day's meeting—all because of one drunk. Isn't complexity theory fun?

Health Care Meltdown: Confronting The Myths and Fixing Our Failing System

At least with public safety, as with airport security, defense, police, and fire protection, the American public (and Congress, which voted for it) supports government solutions. Health care, like transportation, defense, and education, is an issue of vital public interest and safety (viz., the anthrax and smallpox threats). And good health is in the economic interest of the nation, not just the responsibility of each individual. Expanding and Improving Medicare Medicare was designed for 1965, and health care in America in the 21st Century has little resemblance to what it was then.
And the federal government, with the public's blessing, is actually assuming a function formerly done by the private sector: airport security. Other examples of public sector responsibility accepted by the public are defense, road construction, public safety, public education, and the regulation of essential utilities. A recent example belying the myth that "private is always better" was the deregulation of the power industry. Many people were hurt by the ensuing chaos in energy prices.
