Product review: Power Immune anti-viral tincture from Fitura

Mike Adams, the Health Ranger
See article keywords and concepts
It's certainly more potent than most of the herbal products I've seen in retail, but it's not as potent as products from companies like Baseline Nutritionals, which has the most potent herbal tincture products I've ever tasted. Of course, when the potency goes up, so does the cost (and the price), so here again, we're talking about a tradeoff in price vs. potency. Overall, Power Immune is a good value for what it delivers, and the product technology really works.
It ships in 2 oz. tincture bottles suitable for short- or long-term storage. You probably already know this, but I earn nothing from the sale of these products. Nobody has paid me to write this article, and my recommendation of this product is truly independent, based entirely on my desire to help NewsTarget readers have access to outstanding products. How it could be better The Power Immune product is impressive. I openly recommend it to everyone as an addition to their first aid kit or as a preparation against infectious disease (see below). But it could be improved in a couple of ways.
It's not nearly as intense as, say, John Barron's super garlic tincture from Baseline Nutritionals, but that's okay since not everybody can handle that level of herbal intensity. Fitura's Power Immune is certainly far more potent than a lot of the herbal products found in retail, many of which are watery and seem to contain very little actual herbage. The ingredients in Power Immune are: Echinacea Purpurea Licorice Cat's Claw Green Tea Shitake Mushroom St.
Of course, it does contain alcohol (a natural part of the tincture), which means it's going to burn a bit on open wounds, but the alcohol adds yet another layer of antibacterial activity. Air travel defense: Don't you hate traveling on airplanes? They make you breathe the same air over and over again, and the air is full of infectious disease thanks to all the immunosuppressed passengers who keep coughing up viruses and bacteria during the flight. If you're tired of getting sick when you travel, do what I do: Slam some Power Immune before you even get to the airport!
It was one of my favorite herbal tincture products: A combination of twelve proven anti-viral herbs like cat's claw, olive leaf, astragalus, garlic and lemon balm. I found that this combination clobbered viruses with a barrage of synergistic phytochemicals, and no virus could resist its effects (it worked for me 100% of the time). Now a new company has resurrected the formula and, in fact, improved it! The company is called Fitura (www.Fitura.com) and the product is "Power Immune.
The next best thing is a tincture like this one. Resources Fitura Power Immune: www.Fitura.com Herb reference site (to look up the anti-viral effects of these herbs): www.HerbReference.

I've actually tasted several of his products (like his Echinacea tincture), and I can tell you that these are the strongest herbal tinctures I've ever experienced. Compared to these, a lot of the standard health food store tinctures taste like water. Echinacea tincture, for example, should turn your tongue NUMB for a few minutes (and Jon Barron's does). This Super ViraGon product tastes like a sweet garlic explosion, and it will not only fight viruses, it also contains ingredients that are well proven to lower cholesterol, boost circulation, enhance cardiovascular health, and much more.

This regimen should be followed for three weeks before drinking the apple juice (or using the other alternatives discussed in the previous section).

Liver tincture and the cilantro-based anti-mercury tincture). The secret to my productivity and ability to manifest those things is simply that I'm wholly committed to treating my body and mind as sacred entities. I do not allow myself to be polluted with television, pharmaceuticals, recreational drugs, energy vampire people (like friends who drain away all your energy) or processed foods. The result is that when I focus on something, it manifests relatively quickly (there's still a whole lot of work involved, of course, but that's the nature of getting things done in this physical world).

According to many integrative medicine experts, a simple test can determine whether or not you are iodine deficient: Get a bottle of tincture of iodine from the drugstore and paint a 3-inch patch on your skin. (Arm or belly work well. Be careful not to drop any on your clothes—it stains!) The stain on your skin should last for 48 hours. The sooner it disappears the more profound your iodine deficiency. (There are other tests for iodine deficiency that may be a bit more accurate, but they involve urine analysis; the "at-home" version will do nicely for most people.

They may be taken three times daily as a tea (2 to 4 grams), tincture (6 to 12 ml), fluid extract (2 to 4 ml), or powdered solid (250 to 500 mg). Caution: Berberine-containing plants are generally nontoxic at recommended dosages, but high doses can interfere with the metabolism of B vitamins. They are not recommended for use by pregnant women. Goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis) is also effective. The preferred form is an extract of the root standardized to 5% or more of its active ingredient (hydrastine), at a dose of 250 mg twice daily.

Tinctures are prepared by soaking the herb in a solvent such as water or alcohol, then pressing out the solution. A tincture's strength is measured in terms of its concentration. A typical tincture is a 1:5 concentration—it contains five times as much solvent as herbal material. Because they contain so much solvent in comparison to the amount of herb, tinctures are the weakest and least economical forms of herbal supplement. Fluid extracts are made by evaporating most of the solvent to yield a 1:1 concentration of herb to solvent.

HOMEOPATHY Asthma is chronic condition, and cannot be adequately managed by home prescribing. The homeopathic remedies suggested below can help ease mild, acute asthma symptoms, but should not be used as long-term remedies. Constitutional treatment from a homeopathic practitioner, however, can have an enormously beneficial effect on patients who suffer from asthma.

Malic acid in apple juice does exceptionally well at dissolving some of the stagnant bile and making the stones softer. (See details on malic acid below.) Cranberry juice also contains malic acid and can be used instead of apple juice. (See below.) The aforementioned herbs are also effective in softening gallstones and, therefore, can be used as a preparatory step for the liver flush, although it may take a little longer than with using apple or cranberry juice.

The latter are male hormones that can lead to common and distressing symptoms of PCOS, such as facial hair. For advice on how to healthily lose unwanted pounds see Obesity (p. 459).

The Amazon Herb company has long offered these same herbs in tincture format, but in order to take a large dose of these herbs, you had to drink more than a few shots of alcohol at the same time. And personally, I don't drink alcohol recreationally, so I'm no fan of it. In fact, the Amazon tinctures were the only source of alcohol in my diet. But I'm happy to say goodbye to the alcohol shots and move up to the Liquizon capsules, which I've found I'm actually enjoying. The Illumination capsules, for example, actually taste good!

There are a number of parasite cleanses using herbal remedies, such as wormwood, green hull walnut tincture and clove or similar formulas, that also have detoxifying effects. Cleansing both the liver and colon while doing this is also helpful because it reduces the impact that the "die-off may have on your blood and lymph. Such methods of parasite cleansing, however, can take a long time and may be only partially successful, with one exception that I know of. The mineral substance—sodium chlorite—may have the most balanced and immediate effects among all parasite cleansers.
Taking 25-35 drops of agnus castus tincture with water each day for three months can normalize and stabilize female hormone production. Another effective natural alternative to HRT is pfaffia. Wild yam root, applied topically, may relieve hot flashes almost immediately. Evening primrose oil also helps the ovaries maximize their output of estrogen during the early stages of menopause. For those who still don't find relief, maca root may be the answer; it jogs the pituitary and hypothalamus and balances hormones in the body. Maca root has helped to reduce hot flashes by 80 percent.
The proper dosage for the tincture is 1 tablespoonful once daily on an empty stomach, about 30 minutes before breakfast. Keep this regimen for eight to nine days before the day of the liver flush. Intolerance to Epsom Salts If you are allergic to Epsom salts or just cannot tolerate them, you may use magnesium citrate instead (although it is not quite as effective as Epsom salts). Magnesium citrate is readily available at most drugstores.
