Many workers in the health care industry are basically getting paid to shuffle paper around. The health insurance companies are paid to deny health claims and the government workers at Medicare and Medicaid offices are paid to find new ways to deny payments to doctors and hospitals for services rendered. Thus, doctors' offices and hospitals have to employ entire armies of people to sit around and reclassify procedures in ways that can get paid by insurance companies, Medicare and Medicaid. It's a massive waste of time, money and effort.

The energy loan needs to be paid off, and according to Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, the larger the energy borrowed from the vacuum, the faster it has to be repaid. Virtual electrons and positrons typically disappear in about one-trillionth of a nanosecond. Heavier particles last even less than that, as they require more energy to materialize. Now, what Tryon was suggesting was that our entire universe, with its vast amount of matter, was a huge quantum fluctuation, which somehow failed to disappear for more than 10 billion years. Everybody thought that was a very funny joke. |

Again, please note that I am not paid anything by the Amazon Herb Company, nor do I receive any commission on product sales. Some people flat out find this hard to believe, because they think most people wouldn't recommend some other company unless they were paid to do so. But the truth is quite simple: I've spend the last four years researching and recommending hundreds of different natural health companies and their products, and I've remained completely financially independent from those companies. |

The western world looks after the sick, and doctors are paid for making ill patients better. But is this the most efficient way to keep people healthy? In some eastern countries, the approach is reversed. The focus is on preventive care and healers are paid for keeping people well. When their 'patients' do become ill, it is still their responsibility to care for them and restore them to good health. |

"We live the label," said Ralph. None of the above would be possible if they put the company on the stock market. "It sounds really nice, go public. Ask Ben and Jerry what it's like," Ralph commented. "Tom's is going to find this out by selling to Colgate. If you go for the numbers you're lost in the numbers, Mother Teresa. So the only way to do what you want, especially if you want to do something good for the Earth, is never sell out."
It's all so beautifully simple, according to Ralph Bronner. |

How do I get paid?
You are paid directly by Google for the Adsense revenue generated by the ad block appearing above your article. Earnings may vary widely, depending on the article topic, reader response, and so on. Google pays on a 30 - 60 day schedule, meaning you will typically have to wait 30 - 60 days from the day of your earnings to actually receive a deposit into your checking account. NewsTarget has no influence over your Google payments.

The Ajinomoto company was reportedly not allowed to actually choose which panel members would be part of the aspartame safety review, but industry critics like Michael Jacobson of the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), responded by saying, "They say Ajinomoto paid for the study but researchers didn't know who paid. Well, they knew it was industry. And some of these people are longstanding industry consultants."
What we have here is a case of yet more pro-aspartame propaganga being paraded around as legitimate science. |

Remember: I get paid nothing to recommend these companies, and I paid for all the travel on my own dime. As this is a non-profit endeavor on my part to cover the mac nut industry, I simply do not have the resources to put together a full consumer guide on every farm that sells mac nuts in Hawaii. I just know that quality (and ethics) vary widely. If you purchase mac nuts from anybody, be sure to ask these questions:
1) Does your farm use Roundup or other chemical herbicides or pesticides? Do not purchase nuts from farms that use such chemicals. |

And attention must be paid to the relationship between calcium and other minerals, such as magnesium and zinc.
Raspberry leaf infusion contains calcium in its most absorbable form, as do nettle infusions, fresh parsley, and watercress. Other food sources of calcium include milk products (although consumption of these can lead to allergies in the baby), dark green leafy vegetables, asparagus, and pumpkin seeds. Avoid bone meal or oyster shell calcium tablets, which have been found to be high in lead, mercury, cadmium, and other toxic metals. |

Lawmakers have been paid off, regulators have been influenced, and the media is being bought with advertising dollars. Big Pharma now has a near-total chokehold over everything to do with medicine in the United States, from what is taught in medical schools to what's accepted as "scientific" by the medical journals. The takeover of America by drug companies is now nearly complete.
Of note, the most profitable corporations in the world -- the drug companies -- have now demonstrated majority control over the United States government. |
| The new law deepens financial ties between Big Pharma and the FDA, doubling the amount of money directly paid to the regulator by drug companies, but it fails to explicitly protect foods and nutritional supplements from overreaching FDA regulation efforts. The new law also failed to end Big Pharma's monopoly stranglehold on American consumers, further blocking the ability of citizens, businesses, cities and states to import equivalent medications from countries like Canada (where drugs are far safer than those sold in the United States, by any measure). |
| The body count has not yet reached a number sufficient to override campaign funding bribes paid to senators by drug companies. The pharmaceutical holocaust is not yet large enough to demand real reform.
It is my belief that with this vote, U.S. Senators have betrayed their nation. They have sold out the health and safety of the American people to the wealthiest and most profitable corporations in the world: Drug companies. Our senators have stolen from the poor and given to the rich. |

She certainly would have paid more attention to the warning signs and seen her doctor sooner, thus avoiding having an easily detectable and highly treatable condition turn into a truly grave and life-threatening illness.
When Joan mentioned that she was planning to write Body Signs to Jacqueline Egan, her friend, colleague, and co-author of two of her books, Jacqueline's interest was immediately piqued. As a medical writer, recent widow, and cancer survivor, Jacqueline was keenly aware of the importance of early detection. When she was thirty-five, she noticed a small lump in her breast. |
| The sufferers paid for their "sins" by being stigmatized and socially isolated. Even birthmarks were considered a bad omen, and those who had them were considered evil.
Physicians and others also read skin not only for indicators of evil but for signs of illness as well. Indeed, the reading of hands—known as palmistry or chiromancy—has been exceedingly popular for thousands of years in many cultures, and not just for reading the future. Aristotle and Galen read palms to assist them in diagnosing illness. |

Canadians tend to be very well informed about the long-term implications of their present consumption decisions. In fact, many of the customers ordering our EcoLEDs lights are located in Canada. Americans are trapped in a lifetime of medical debt being paid to wealthy drug corporations. If you live in America and need medicine, the FDA and Big Pharma are doing everything in their power to make sure you have no choice but to buy it from "the company store" -- the monopoly-controlled U.S. pharmaceutical market that's basically in the business of ripping people off by selling them dangerous synthetic chemicals.

While the exact same medications are available from Canada, Europe and other countries for nearly half the price paid in the United States, U.S. consumers will continue to be forced to pay monopoly prices on their medications thanks to the great U.S. Senate sellout to Big Pharma.
It's not just consumers who are financially harmed by this drug price fixing scheme, either. Many corporations, city governments and states are headed to near-certain financial bankruptcy in large part due to monopoly pricing on prescription drugs. The near-collapse of the U.S. |

Canadians, Europeans, and even citizens of Mexico pay only about one-half to as little as one-tenth the price paid by Americans for the very same chemicals. Drug companies actually import many of the raw materials used in pharmaceuticals from other countries, meaning that some U.S. medicines are already sourced from countries like the U.K. and Germany.
Drug companies mark up their prescription drugs as much as 569,000% over the price of the raw materials. (A typical markup is more in the 30,000% - 50,000% range.) Retailing pharmaceuticals is hugely profitable. |
