I'm comfortable with that, but not so comfortable that I would have you pay me to mention arial software in a post. I would say, "Well, Mike, you don't need to pay me, because I can already say wonderful things about arial software." Mike: Right, and the first time someone finds out that you've sold out, then your credibility is down the tubes. Weil: Exactly, and that is key. Mike: A lot of people don't think that they have the ability to write well. They're not skilled at communication through text, and I'm sure you hear this a lot, too.

And let me give you an idea of where this is coming from with a little bit about my background: In 1993, I launched arial software, which has since grown into one of the most successful permission e-mail marketing companies in the world. I've since launched another company called ReleMail, which certifies ethical, professional email practices for some of the best-known companies in the world. I know what it takes to run a company, I know what type of time demands are involved and I see how this works with employees and managers in my own company.

What can people do to write better-quality web content and email newsletter content if they don't think of themselves as good writers? Weil: That's a great question.

Arial Software sells permission email marketing automation software. In other words, this is a classic example of a company (Listrak) claiming to be involved in permission email marketing but which is running around spamming their own competitors with unsolicited email messages in an effort to drum up new business! And the funniest part of all is that John Lozzi obviously didn't realize I'm a feature writer for a news network that was going to post his spammy email across the internet for the amusement of people everywhere. What can I say? ROTFL! John, you spammed the wrong guy today.

Relemail was created by email industry veteran Mike Adams, the inventor of the first permission-based email marketing software for the PC, and founder of arial software (www.ArialSoftware.com). The service was launched in response to strong customer demand for authentic, trusted certification for email senders. "The industry clearly needed a process through which ethical email senders could establish their reputations with potential subscribers," Adams explains. Adams isn't alone in seeing the need for such a service.
