About NaturalNews NaturalPedia NaturalNews NaturalPedia™ is a non-commercial, non-profit public education initiative that allows readers, researchers, authors and naturopathic health practitioners to explore health-oriented information condensed from more than 1,000 of the top health books and articles. It has been called "The Wikipedia of Natural Health."

NaturalNews NaturalPedia (NNNP) was created by health visionary Mike Adams, who foresaw the creation of a "Global Electronic Library" of natural health solutions in 2003. When such a solution did not appear, Adams built NNNP himself at a cost of more than $250,000. He then donated the project to the non-profit Consumer Wellness Center, which now manages its content.

NaturalNews NaturalPedia earns no profits, accepts no sponsorship, and answers to no one except the People. No corporation, regulatory body or government can censor NaturalNews NaturalPedia, and it is in this way that NNNP joins the pioneers of information democratization: Wikipedia and Wikileaks.

All content published by NNNP is cited under Fair Use provisions of U.S. copyright law. NNNP goes to great lengths to both promote and protect the interests of authors and publishers whose works have been cited herein. Read more about our promotion of authors and books in our FAQ section.

Details about NaturalNews NaturalPedia™

The Goals of NNNP

NNNP aims to:

1) Grant the public open access to desperately-needed information about natural health solutions for disease prevention, health enhancement and quality of life improvements.

2) Promote and publicize the works of notable authors who have contributed an important body of knowledge to the natural health community but have, in many cases, received little or no attention for their work.

3) Catalyze the democratization of information by publishing a valuable resource for journalists, researchers, consumers and natural health practitioners who are engaged in research that requires citations from noted books and authors. NNNP allows researchers to cite directly from its content as long as both the book author and NNNP are properly cited.

In these ways, NNNP aims to establish a valuable, open online resource that serves as a bridge between knowledgeable authors and information-hungry consumers or researchers. NNNP is congruent with the dreams of natural health visionary Mike Adams, who believes that free access to information about natural health is crucial for the continued survival of modern civilization. "No nation has a future unless its people exhibit healthy bodies and minds," Adams has said.

NNNP stands firmly against the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and other organizations that seek to censor the sharing of information about natural health modalities, remedies and solutions.

The FDA has worked for more than four decades to prevent the public from learning the truth about how plant-based nutrients, vitamins and nutritional supplements can help prevent and reverse serious disease (including cancer, diabetes, heart disease, depression and many others).

This has been accomplished by the FDA through a campaign of tyranny, intimidation and censorship that has left the natural products industry in a state of fear. NNNP stands as freedom's answer to FDA tyranny and censorship by daring to provide consumers with a free, empowering information source that bypasses FDA censorship and provides relevant knowledge directly to anyone who seeks it.

As NNNP creator Mike Adams explains, "NaturalNews NaturalPedia in founded in freedom, enlightenment and self-discovery. These principles stand in direct opposition to those of Big Pharma and the FDA, who believe in nutritional censorship, health illiteracy and the exploitation of fear to control consumers. NNNP instantly gives consumers, researchers, authors and journalists open access to the world's largest collection of natural health knowledge and know-how."

About NaturalNews NaturalPedia

NaturalNews NaturalPedia features a context-sensitive, cross-linked collection of more than 890,000 unique web pages that organize more than 53,000 unique natural health terms into intuitive categories. Those categories of terms include:
  • Macronutrients
  • Micronutrients and phytochemicals
  • Diseases and health conditions
  • Chemicals
  • Plants and herbs
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Treatment modalities
  • Biological functions
  • Physiology and anatomy
  • Non-chemical substances
  • Animals
  • Adjectives and medical adjectives
  • Health-related organizations
  • Foods and beverages
  • Ingredients
  • Health-related verbs

Selected quotes from the included books and articles are arranged on both single-concept and double-concept pages in the NNNP directory. For example, one page might list all the top quotes about "cinnamon." Yet other pages might include quotes about "cinnamon and blood sugar" or "cinnamon and cancer."

This allows NNNP users to search for virtually any imaginable combination of health conditions, herbs, plants, phytonutrients, macronutrients, natural healing modalities and other items.

To support the authors of the books included in NNNP, NaturalNews NaturalPedia links directly to an Amazon.com purchase link for each book, allowing users to purchase the physical book from Amazon.com. It also helps position the book authors as experts in the field who are more easily quoted by journalists and other authors who are writing their own books.

Frequently Asked Questions by Book Authors / Publishers

How do I get my book included in NaturalNews NaturalPedia?

You may submit your book for possible inclusion in NNNP by mailing a hardcopy of the book to:

Consumer Wellness Center
2005 N. Kolb Ave. Suite #131
Tucson, AZ 85715

Not all books sent to NNNP are included in the 'pedia. Mike Adams makes all decisions regarding which books to include (or exclude). In general, books that provide valuable information about natural health solutions, green living and the dangers of conventional medicine are moved to the top of the inclusion processing queue.

The Consumer Wellness Center requests that all books submitted for inclusion in the directory be accompanied by a tax-deductible donation for $500 to the Consumer Wellness Center to help cover the costs of researching your book and including it in the NNNP directory. This donation, however, is not required in all cases. Small, self-published authors do not need to submit this recommended $500 donation.

Adding a book to the NNNP directory may take up to 30 days.

How do I get my book removed from NaturalNews NaturalPedia?

Any author or publisher that wishes to have their book(s) removed from NNNP may mail us a signed letter at the address published above and request removal from the directory. Removal from the directory is permanent and can take up to two weeks to complete.

Before requesting removal from NNNP, keep in mind that:

1) NNNP positions book authors as thought leaders in the natural health industry while providing them with abundant opportunities to be quoted by other writers and journalists conducting research on relevant topics. In other words, NNNP promotes you and your book!

2) Every author we have approached with the NNNP concept has given us an instant "Yes" for inclusion in the project. Michael T. Murray, Jonny Bowden, Debra Lynn Dadd, Dr. James Duke and dozens of other authors have already given us enthusiastic approval to include their books in this project.

3) NNNP does NOT allow readers to read your entire book, or to browse from one page to the next. Thus, NNNP is in no way a replacement for your full book text. Citations from your book are combined with paragraphs from over 1,000 other books and articles, and readers cannot narrow any search by book.

4) NNNP limits the amount of material it cites from your book to no more than five paragraphs on any single NNNP topic page. All citations from your book are fully credited, and NNNP readers are required to cite the author and book when sourcing any text found on NNNP.

5) NNNP promotes the direct sale of your book through Amazon.com by providing clickable "buy now" links next to each citation from your book.

6) NNNP's publishing of text from your book is fully protected under Fair Use provisions of U.S. copyright law. Furthermore, NNNP earns no revenues whatsoever from the publication of paragraphs from your book, which further supports the Fair Use protections of this project. As such, NNNP is under no obligation to remove any book from the directory, but we will do so if requested.

In essense, NNNP promotes your book! It also breathes new life into books that have not been commercially successful (which includes 90% of all published books), all while directly promoting the sales of your books through clickable Amazon.com links. (At your request, we can update the link to go directly to your website, so that book sales do not go through Amazon.com at all.)

Books removed from the directory can never be re-submitted for inclusion.

Frequently Asked Questions by Readers

Is there any fee to use NaturalNews NaturalPedia?

No, using NNNP is completely free of charge.

Can I cite text found in NNNP in my own book, research project or website?

Yes, this is the whole point of NNNP: To allow you to find relevant research text, then cite it in your own projects, which may include a book, website, news article, documentary or other content project.

To cite what you find on NNNP, you are required to provide two citations:

1) First, you must cite the author and book from which the text was originally sourced. This is provided above each paragraph of text included in NNNP.

2) Secondly, you must also cite "NaturalNews NaturalPedia" as a source and provide a clickable link to: http://www.NaturalNews.com/NP/Index.html

Failure to abide by these citation rules is a violation of our terms of use.

As NNNP has gone to great expense to make this information freely available to you, the best way you can help return the favor is to cite NNNP wherever appropriate and help spread the word about this valuable online resource.

Is there a listing of books that are included in NNNP?

No, there is no single list of all the books included in NNNP.

I found an error on the NNNP website. How do I report it to you?

Contact us via e-mail at NNNPfeedback (at) NaturalNews.com.

How can I help financially support the NNNP?
