Vilcabamba Ecuador Living, Homes and Land

A NaturalNews PhotoTour by Mike Adams

This is what Dr. Brian O'Leary sees every morning when he steps onto his front porch. Not bad, huh? He calls his house Montesuenos (www.BrianOleary.com)

The clean air, affordable prices and incredible views are some of the many reasons why so many first-world people are coming to Vilcabamba. Last night, I was at Dr. O'Leary's house, and he invited some jazz singers who pumped out live jazz music while about twenty expatriots sat around eating quinoa and chocolate cake. Did I eat the chocolate cake? You BET I did! It's made with panela, not white sugar. So it's a lot healthier than the chocolate cake you find in the U.S.

There are a lot of multinational couples here, including people from Asia, South America, Europe, Canada and of course the U.S. Most people here are pretty cool. A few of them are insane, but we don't invite them to the parties.

Dr. O'Leary rents out his guest house if you want to come stay with him. I think it's about $100 / night, which includes a real breakfast (not that "continental" crap). His house is a marvel of organic construction using natural materials. He actually has a huge tree in his living room, with branches and everything!

Next: Effortless organic veggies from your garden...
