Pomegranate and Blueberry Juice Consumer Shopping Guide

A NaturalNews PhotoTour by Mike Adams

Here we see the Nutrition Facts and ingredients list for the Purely Juice 100% pomegranate blueberry juice. Note the ingredients:

Pomegranate juice from concentrate, blueberry juice concentrate and other natural flavors

That's a very short ingredients list. It's what you want to see when you're shopping for quality juice products. This product could be better, however, if the juices were made from fresh fruits, not from concentrate.

What you don't want to see on juices are ingredients like:

• High-fructose corn syrup
• Sucrose
• Chemical preservatives like sodium benzoate
• Apple juice, pear juice or other "filler juices"
• Water (which is just used to thin out the juice)
• Malic acid or citric acid (which is often used with water to create an acidic juice flavor to mask the fact that the product is actually just watered down)

The Purely Juice brand has none of those ingredients, so it remains a brand I would recommend. It's not, however, fresh or raw juice. The product is no doubt pasteurized, and the fact that it's from concentrate means there is a loss of nutrients vs. raw, freshly-squeezed juices. Still, it's very nutritious and a great option for health-enhancing juice that's convenient to buy, store and consume.

Now let's take a look at what I consider to be a very dishonest pomegranate juice product. Click the NEXT button below to continue...
