Want to stop E.Coli? You don't need to irradiate the food; all you need is tomatoes. New research shows that a thin, edible film made from tomatoes blocks e.coli contamination, keeping food safe and fresh. Don't look for the FDA to approve this anytime soon. They much prefer the idea of nuking all the veggies, which destroys their nutritional content.
