 What they neglect to mention is that their suppliers, the suppliers of the raw material used in pet foods—the meat and fats—can add ethoxyquin before they ship it to the pet food company. The pet food company does not need to state this on the label. Pet food companies simply have to state what they have added, not what their suppliers have added to the raw material. If you ever see this preservative listed on a can or bag of food, stay away from that product.
