If it's from cows that have been fed the ground up parts of other animals, which are routinely fed to cows today, and if these cows have been slaughtered in an inhumane way -- which is the way virtually all cows, pigs and chickens are slaughtered today, cooped up in tiny compartments and not being given access to fresh air, sunlight and fresh water -- then they are not just unhappy animals; they are probably insane animals. They are what I call mad chickens or insane cows. |

Animals such as cows, calves, pigs and chickens are made to live truly horrible lives, however short, while being housed in factory farms."
The routine torture of dairy cows
Milking cows are treated like machines; confined from all other animals including their calves, they are made to stand on concrete floors in their own waste. In order to manipulate genetics and produce more milk, farmers pump the cows full of chemicals, hormones and antibiotics, many of which may make their way into the milk we drink and the cheese we eat. |

Recently, the pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly, a manufacturer of rBST, reported a tenfold increase in IGF-1 levels in the milk of cows that had been injected with the hormone. IGF-1 is the same in humans and cows and is not destroyed by pasteurization. In fact, the pasteurization process actually increases IGF-1 levels in milk.
I recommend that you avoid buying milk from cows treated with rBST, if possible. The hormone has become so widely used by dairy farmers that unless the milk label states "from cows not treated with rBST," you should assume that the milk contains the hormone. |

Just like beef cattle, many of these cows suffer from disease, reproductive problems and lameness due to the stress of the factory setting. |

Grass is the end all and be all of cows. The complaints asked the USDA to investigate whether it was legal to confine cows in an industrial setting, without access to pasture, and still label milk and dairy products organic.
"According to reports, both the Idaho and California operations differ little from conventional confinement dairies other than having their high-producing cows fed certified organic feed," said Mark Kastel of Cornucopia. |

In the book, Mad Cowboy, former cattle rancher, Howard Lyman details that mad cow disease stems from the feeding concoctions of dead cows and other animals in the factory farms to the living cows. When those living cows are slaughtered and eaten, they pass the mad cow disease on to humans.
When one eats the flesh of tortured animals, or the milk of dairy cows, or eggs from factory chickens, one also ingests the fear, the pain, the exhaustion and the sorrow of those beings. These energies manifest within the consumer in the form of negative attitudes, depression and illness. |

For example, if you're trying to make the switch from regular cows' milk to soymilk, you would want to do it one week at a time by mixing soymilk and cows' milk together in progressive ratios.
For example, during the first week you might have your beverage as 90 percent cows' milk and 10 percent soymilk. That might even go on for a couple of weeks. But in time, you'll get used to that taste, and then you can use 80 percent cows' milk and 20 percent soymilk. And after you've made these ten small shifts, you'll be on 100 percent soymilk. |

Getting back to cows, let's remember that cows are living, breathing, feeling beings with strong social structures, memories and families. I don't think it is ethical to eat any part of a cow, but my challenge to those people who do consume cows is, if you're eating the ribs, the rump, the shoulder and the spinal fluid squeezed out of the carcass, why is it that you think it's gross to eat the brain of a cow? The brain is one of the healthiest organs in that animal in terms of providing essential fatty acids for human consumption. |

Homogenized, pasteurized, milked from unhealthy cows and containing alarmingly high levels of pus, this liquid is nothing less than frightening. Flee it.
Raw cow's milk (organic): This is an acceptable dairy beverage. If it's from healthy cows treated with kindness and good nutrition, this raw beverage is far better than processed cow's milk.
Row goat's milk (organic): Even better than raw cow's milk, since the goat's milk is easier to digest and more compatible with human nutritional needs.
Fermented milk from cows or goats (organic Kefir): A great choice! |

Hydrogenated milk would probably kill baby cows just due to the negative effects of eating homogenized fat molecules. Now, if you feel that you have to drink cows' milk, if you're addicted to this substance for some reason -- maybe in your past life, you were a baby cow -- then what you can do is go out and buy raw, unprocessed cow’s milk from a local farmer.
You have to live near a farm or have some connections in order to get that product. It will taste very different from processed cows' milk and it will be a lot healthier for you. You will also find that the fat in the milk will separate. |

Apparently, there's no good way to get rid of all that chicken excrement unless you feed it to cows. You can look this up on the USDA website if you don't believe me. Here's a Google search that will bring up some articles on it. With fluoridation, the American public is basically being treated like cattle. Here: eat some industrial waste products for us, please! Meanwhile, we're going to feed chicken excrement to cows, and then you can eat the cows after that, too! Heck, with enough segments in the food chain, they can get American consumers to eventually eat just about anything. |

After the dinner, Jaume's older brother led us up the winding stairway to the top of the tower. It was used as a watchtower in times of danger. When the enemy was sighted, the guardsmen could signal with a torch to similar towers at the neighboring farms, all the way to the duke's garrison at the castle of Cardona, about five miles away. |

Hydrogenated cows' milk is something that absolutely does not belong in the human body. It is an artificially processed food. It doesn’t have any justifiable purpose for human nutrition. THE UNIQUE CLA
CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) is a type of fat that naturally occurs in dairy products and meat when cows graze on grass. Grass contains linoleic acid. Enzymes in the digestive system of cows readily convert it to CLA. Most cows involved in our food supply do not graze on grass; therefore, there is not as much CLA in the diet as there used to be.
CLA is one of the most intensely researched nutrients in the world, and has been for the last 20 years ever since researchers at the University of Wisconsin discovered it while looking for carcinogens in cooked meat. |

Thumbs down: Processed cow's milk
I'm also not thrilled about processed milk from cows. By "processed," I mean homogenized and pasteurized. The pasteurization kills all the beneficial microorganisms, and homogenization artificially modifies dairy fats in a way that ultimately harms the human cardiovascular system when consumed. Processed "mainstream" milk is also taken from dairy cows pumped up with antibiotics, rBGH (Bovine Growth Hormone) and usually treated very poorly in terms of ethics. |

Farmers who sell cows to meat-processing facilities get a certain amount of money for them. Those meat-processing facilities sell every part of the cow they can. They sell hooves, tails, skin, tongues, meat, bones, blood and brains.
So here's a question for you: Where do you suppose cow brains end up? I'll give you a hint. The USDA only bans cow brains being used in the human food supply when they come from cows over the age of 30 months. |

Other problems with milk from cows
Getting back to cows' milk, by the way, another reason I don't think cows' milk is a very good source of calcium is because it lacks magnesium, and it typically lacks vitamin D even if it says it has vitamin D on the bottle, because the vitamin D is destroyed by light. So, when you have the milk sitting there in the store, and it's being bombarded by photons from the fluorescent lighting in the store, the vitamin D is being quite rapidly destroyed. By the time you drink it, you're not getting really much vitamin D at all. |

There still may be some industrial runoff or some kind of post-production chemicals that need to be dealt with after creating artificial meat, but undoubtedly these would be far less harmful to the planet than the clear-cutting of rain forest, injecting cows with hormones and antibiotics and raising crops with pesticides so that cows can be fed in a very inefficient food production system.
So artificial meat, even though it may sound strange, could actually be better for the planet if people continue to consume meat. |

| Oisin never stopped till the steed touched the soil of Erin; and he went on till he came to Knock Patrick in Munster, where he saw a man herding cows. In the field where the cows were grazing there was a broad flat stone.
" 'Will you come here,' said Oisin to the herdsman, 'and turn over this stone?'
" 'Indeed, then, I will not,' said the herdsman; 'for I could not lift it, nor twenty men more like me.'
"Oisin rode up to the stone, and, reaching down, caught it with his hand and turned it over. |

One traveler, standing on a farm in Idaho and concentrating on a herd of cows, was distracted by an irrigation ditch several yards down the road. He was sufficiently fascinated by the ditch to photograph it and note it in his description. The remote viewer in New Jersey, flicking up the scene before it had happened, made no mention of cows at all in his description, but he did say that he was getting an image of farm buildings, fields and the irrigation ditch.'
Other scientific evidence supported the idea that human beings have the ability to 'see' the future. |
