Forget about bioterrorists -- nature is the biggest threat to human life as we know it on this planet, simply because modern human life is largely a threat to nature. Unless we learn from our lessons and find a way to honor and respect the very planet that has given us life, this planet will take it away from us.
In response to all this, you might say, "How can mankind affect weather patterns and encourage natural disasters?" It's easy: global dimming. Since the industrial revolution, we've thrown more particulate matter into the atmosphere than the largest volcanoes in history. The effect? |

There are plans to genetically modify pigs so that they can grow human hearts that could then be surgically taken out of the pig and implanted into wealthy customers who have the funds to pay for such a procedure. Pigs, of course, are mammals. Pigs have memories, emotions and families; they have life force and consciousness. They even have their own language and modes of expression. Pigs are living, breathing beings much like the cloned humans in this movie. |

Thus, it is illegal to take this fluorosilicic acid and bury it in the ground or dump it in rivers or streams in this country, but it is perfectly legal to sell it to cities that drip it into the water supply with the intended purpose of it being ingested by human beings. And those human beings, of course, eventually pass the fluoride through their bodies and directly into the rivers and streams. |

Nature is resilient, but even it cannot be continually poisoned in the way it is being poisoned today by the actions of human beings. Should we, as the human race, fail to heed the warnings we're seeing right now, I fear that the destructive effects will escalate.
Among all the potential side effects such as bizarre weather patterns, the wiping out of non-diverse genetically engineered crops, and the destruction of ecosystems on both land and water, I think the worst effect is probably going to be the emergence of deadly contagious diseases. |

One explanation behind all this is that the Earth itself hums at a specific frequency, well below the audible detection range of human beings, called the Schumann frequency or Schumann resonance, which you can read about on Wikipedia. If you multiply this Shumann resonance by multiples of two, you get higher harmonics of the same frequency, sort of like a higher octave on the piano. You can have a low level C note or a high level C note, and if you play them together, they are in harmony even though one is an octave higher than the other. |

It's not difficult to understand what smoking does to a set of human lungs when you're staring at them right in front of your nose.
Some of the bodies were surgically implanted with artificial joints (post-mortem, of course) then propped up as some sort of celebration of the genius of modern joint replacement surgery. I thought this was odd. Yes, I know, in a roomful of dead bodies, stripped of their skin and propped up into artificial poses, I noticed something that struck me as bizarre. Why would they perform joint replacement surgery on dead bodies? Was the procedure billed to Medicare? |
| Looking at the muscles, tendons, capillaries and nerves of the human body, you can't help but be humbled and awed by the complexity of the design. The blood supply to the liver is simply breathtaking. It looks like a mass of roots from a large garden vegetable, turned upside down and colored red. Your heart pumps 1.5 liters of blood through your liver every minute! If that's not a reason to give up eating toxic chemicals, I don't know what is.
One more note about this exhibit: Most of the bodies were really small. |

When a paying client in the real world has a sudden need for a liver or other organs, the cloned human is told they've won the lottery and that they'll get to move to the only uncontaminated tropical island left on the earth, where they will enjoy a tropical paradise of prosperity. In reality, they are taken from the cloned human population, sedated, and then surgically stripped of their organs, which are delivered for transplantation to the paying client.

There's also the very real inevitability that the Pentagon will purchase robots and program them to cause harm to other human beings, ultimately making them part of the military forces.
So, there's no question that robots will eventually be accused of harming humans and some of those accusations will be distortions and others will be quite accurate. This is going to bring up some fundamental ethical questions about the role of robots in society. |

REPPED: (Warning: Contains graphic descriptions of human anatomy.) This past weekend, I worked up the courage to visit the Body Worlds exhibit in a local science museum. This is where they take the bodies of dead volunteers (who volunteered before they died, obviously), strip off their skin and body fat, then prop them up into dynamic poses where they are plasticized through a rather technical chemical process involving aspartame, sodium nitrite and yeast extract. Think Weekend at Bernie's, without the skin.
I'm not making this up. Click here to see the Body Worlds website for yourself. |
| The BodyWorlds exhibit offered a very thorough examination of the physical human body, but nothing beyond that. Is it still worth seeing? Sure it is. Just be sure to hold your breath if there are living people around. |

I know these are serious topics, but these are serious times. There are big issues at stake here. If we don't make the right choices on these issues, then we're going to pay the price for a very long time. We have to wake up and recognize what we're doing in this world, and we have to change our ways. |
| That is in such gross violation of the very laws of nature, it appalls me that any human being even thought of it. It is an invitation for global disaster.
Who on Earth would actually think of such a concept? To say, "Let's take something from nature that has been reproducing for probably hundreds of thousands of years, and modify it so it terminates its own offspring." To say, "The shareholders will love that one. I can't wait to introduce it to the market and force farmers and third world countries to buy this seed. Oh, what a big profit center that will be. |

Many natural disasters are ultimately caused by human behavior
Then we turn to the forces of nature. Consider these: The rising intensity of hurricanes (Katrina, anyone?), the devastating 2004 Tsunami in the Indian Ocean, the disruption of seasonal crop-producing rains in India, the recent cold-freeze decimation of the California citrus industry, the floods and droughts happening now on virtually every continent, earthquakes, sinkholes and volcanoes... the more you look at natural events, the more it becomes increasingly obvious that Earth changes are accelerating at an alarming pace. |
| Putting it in perspective: human civilization is a blip on the Earth history timeline
Virtually everything modern civilization now values -- from technology and science to knowledge and intellectual property -- was developed in the last 5,000 years. And most of it in just the last 50 years. Yet with all the advances we've been able to create, and all the apparent mastery over the laws of nature, we've really only proved that we do not have the wisdom to live in harmony with our own world. We're destroying the ground beneath our feet, and that is not an attribute of an advanced civilization. |
| Remember: modern human civilization is not the first civilization to rise and fall on this planet, nor will it be the last. All we can hope for is that future beings who inhabit this world will be wiser than we have been and will somehow find the presence of mind to stop destroying their planet before it destroys them.
In the mean time, you can do your best to honor and protect the planet by living a green lifestyle and remembering where you came from -- the Earth. We're all made of this Earth, and it is Earth water that fills that soggy mass of neurons in your skull. |

Anyway, this exhibit is fascinating if you have any interest whatsoever in human anatomy. But at the same time, it's also a bit creepy. Personally, I couldn't stand the smell. I'm not talking about the dead bodies, mind you, I'm referring to all the visitors wearing their noxious perfumes, body lotions and fragrance products while trouncing around in the enclosed exhibit space. The dead people didn't stink at all. It was the live ones who practically caused me to flee through an emergency exit to catch some fresh air. |

You have violated intellectual property laws by infringing on the copyrights of companies that have been granted patents on the human genome. You have replicated that gene sequence by having children without the permission of the owners of those gene sequences. As bizarre as it sounds, it's absolutely true: having children is a violation of patent law.
This has come about because those at the U.S. Patent Office seem to have lost their collective minds. |

The meat industry, of course, which seems to have absolutely no respect for human or animal life, will fight this every inch of the way. The people in charge of meat-producing companies exhibit zero concern for the health of the consumers who actually eat their products, and they remain entirely focused on the profits to be had from selling more toxic meat products to gullible consumers. |

Sooner or later of course, one of these autonomous robots is going to directly or indirectly cause harm to a human being. I don't mean intentionally, I mean accidentally; perhaps a human trips over a robot or the robot displaces something causing someone to trip and fall. There's no doubt that such an event would be used by an anti-robot movement to illustrate how robots are dangerous and should perhaps be outlawed.
Of course, a more sinister scenario involves the possibility of someone hacking into a robot and programming it to do dangerous things. |

Processed meats, the report explains, are simply too dangerous for human consumption. And why? Because they contain chemical additives that are known to greatly increase the risk of various cancers, including colorectal cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, leukemia, brain tumors, pancreatic cancer and many more. The report, published at this DietAndCancerReport.org website also recommends that consumers:
Avoid all sugary soft drinks for life.
Exercise at least 30 minutes a day.
Get lean and fit, without becoming underweight.
Limit consumption of ALL meats (even fresh meat). |

If you wonder why companies are granted patents for the human gene sequence or for seeds, here's the reason: It's because corporations are in charge, and they run governments. Who do you think runs the Food and Drug Administration? It's the drug companies. Who do you think runs the U.S. Department of Agriculture? It's the farming, beef and the dairy industries.
Take a look at every single decision the USDA, the FDA, and various government departments have made: they benefit big business. It's all about not just protecting business, but helping big business become more profitable. |

Useful robots will multiply the effectiveness of human ingenuity and help get more done with less human capital. The bottom line is, if you're the one who owns the robots, you're going to do very well in the future. However, if you are an unskilled worker or laborer, and you're competing against robots for productivity, you'd better learn some new skills.
Some people might say these predictions are all overblown, that we already have robots working in the car manufacturing industry, for example. |

No industry is really willing to admit that its products are hazardous to human health, and the processed meat industry is no exception.
To protect yourself from these dangerous processed food products, here are the action steps to take:
1) Check the ingredients of all processed meat products in your refrigerator and pantry. Throw out any products containing sodium nitrite or MSG (monosodium glutamate).
2) Inform your spouse, roomates or children of what you're doing and why you're doing it. Show them the sodium nitrite right on the label of the products as you throw them out. |

This is the attitude of a majority of the human population today, and certainly it is the attitude of those who are in power, like those who run big corporations and governments. They say, "Nature is there for us to exploit." This is reflected in the intellectual property laws today, which say, in effect, that we own nature and that anything we happen to stumble across is from that point forward our "property. |
