Consumers who still want to eat meat products should look for nitrite-free meats, which are often available in the frozen foods or natural foods section of a grocery store." Adams eats no meats other than wild salmon and follows a largely raw foods / living foods diet. His own health statistics are posted online at www.HealthRanger.org

If we could get people to eat half the meat they currently consume, we would see far lower rates of heart disease, all varieties of cancers, and less obesity as well. Even though the long-term solution is to move to a plant-based diet, as a civilization, a short-term solution could include artificial meat.
Many benefits from a plant-based diet
I have probably eaten more than my share of meat for my entire life already. When I was growing up, my grandfather was a cattle rancher, so we got all the free meat we ever wanted and I ate meat constantly. |
| Let consumers eat meat without having to kill animals.
Health implications of artificial meat
The second reason I am strongly in support of artificial meat is because I believe that this artificial meat will actually be healthier for people than commercially grown and produced meat, because commercially produced meat comes from cows that are subjected to an assault of various chemicals. They are injected with antibiotics and hormones; they are fed grain that's been sprayed with pesticides and sometimes grown in soils laced with heavy metals. |

I believe that most consumers who eat processed meat products do so blindly, without really thinking about what they're eating and where it came from. This macrophotography project is intended to show consumers exactly what they're really swallowing when they eat these processed meat products.
WARNING: The detail in these photos is astonishing, and many people will likely be grossed out or sickened by viewing them. Do not view them if you've just eaten processed meats! |

The decision to eat meat is not a solely personal decision. It doesn't just affect you. It actually affects the planet. The more meat you consume, the more land is used for meat raising and harvesting. In the case of the Amazon rainforest, it means there's less land available to support natural rain forest habitat, which is, of course, important for the oxygen production of the entire planet. So, in a very understandable way, the mass consumption of red meat around this planet actually affects the climate of the planet. Global climate change is one side effects of massive meat consumption. |

The people in charge of meat-producing companies exhibit zero concern for the health of the consumers who actually eat their products, and they remain entirely focused on the profits to be had from selling more toxic meat products to gullible consumers.
But just like Big Tobacco's marketing methods and fraudulent science was finally exposed as wholesale fraud, the processed meat industry is going to have to face scientific facts sooner or later: Sodium nitrite promotes cancer, and eating processed meat products substantially increases your risk of cancer. |

Personally, I take chlorella any time I eat seafood for this very purpose.
You can also, of course, turn to fresh, organic, free-range meat. That's the safest approach for any meat consumer. Yes, it's expensive, but last time I checked, treating pancreatic cancer was a bit on the pricey side, too.
There are other problems with processed meats, nutritionally speaking. Meat has zero fiber, for one thing. |

The processed meat industry, of course, insists that processed meat is perfectly healthy and that you can eat all you want. It's no surprise, of course: Big Tobacco insisted that cigarettes aren't really bad for your health and that nicotine isn't addictive, either. No industry is really willing to admit that its products are hazardous to human health, and the processed meat industry is no exception.
To protect yourself from these dangerous processed food products, here are the action steps to take:
1) Check the ingredients of all processed meat products in your refrigerator and pantry. |

I started consuming less of it and eating other meat alternatives, and pretty soon I began to view red meat in a different way, because if you eat less of it, you eventually start to lose your appetite for it. And within less than a year, any time I would see red meat at the grocery store, it would gross me out. I look at it and I realize what it is: a chunk of flesh sliced off the carcass of a living creature that has been ground up and stuffed into a box. Usually there's some blood running around in the container as well. |

And you can't eat red meat without getting some animal fat.
Then, of course, there's what I call the vibration of red meat, which concerns the homeopathy of the meat, or the environment in which the cow was raised. Was it a natural environment? Did the cow have access to open fields, sunlight and clean water? Or was this a cow raised as part of a slaughterhouse operation, produced for the sole purpose of generating profits? If you eat cows' meat that has undergone that kind of experience, you are consuming a product that is tainted with the negative experience of the animal from which it came. |
| In addition, red meat can contain contaminants such as heavy metals, pesticides and undesirable environmental pollutants that tend to collect in the fat tissues of cows, which are absorbed into your body when you eat cow fat. And you can't eat red meat without getting some animal fat.

Nothing causes you to lose weight and shrink your waist line faster than getting pancreatic cancer! eat more processed meat and you, too, can lose weight faster than you ever dreamed possible... that is, if you survive the cancer.
Eat pizza to lose weight? Get serious...
Now let's talk about the pizza. Let me just say right off the bat here that any person actually recommending pizza as a health food deserves to be suffocated by a vat of molten Velveeta. |

So we keep doing this, and we tend to eat 80 percent more calories than we normally would if we learned to eat in such way that you don’t spike your blood sugar. When people just understand this, they feel good. They can eat; it’s not a low-calorie diet. They just eat what they want, and they learn to eat the right kinds of food. You start to exercise, and you improve insulin sensitivity. Pretty soon you start to release fat. Your body won’t hold onto fat, and that’s why I called it "releasing fats." People can actually get a copy of the book at releasingfat.com, which is available now. |

It's impossible to eat that much, even if you try hard. Morgan Spurlock, the creator of the "Supersize Me" documentary, ate nothing but McDonald's food for 30 days. He stuffed himself with McDonald's food three times a day and still only managed to eat about 5,000 calories. You would have to double Spurlock's incredible feat to eat 10,000 calories a day. And only then would you be meeting the minimum requirements for nutrition. |

This processed meat idea hit me one day as I was driving past a local Wal-Mart grocery store and thinking to myself, "I wonder if people would really eat processed food products if they knew what they contained?" On an impulse, I turned into the Wal-Mart parking lot and decided to enter the store and buy some processed meat products with the intention of photographing them. This caused a concern, since I would never be caught dead buying processed meat products, and certainly not in a Wal-Mart. |

For now, just remember:
Processed meats = sodium nitrite = cancer
If you don't want cancer, don't eat processed meats. Ever.
(And if you really want to be healthy, eat a plant-based diet for life. But that's another article altogether... |
| Anyone who decides to eat processed meat products on a repeated basis is simply creating a result. That result is cancer, and over enough years, that cancer will grow to the point where it shows up on a scan. That's when the doctor says, "You have cancer" and starts prescribing even more toxic chemicals known as chemotherapy agents. This is not a disease with an unknown cause. In fact, cancer is incredibly easy to both prevent AND cure -- but only if you understand the fundamentals of nutrition. |

Richard was a meat/junk food eater until my mid twenties, up until then, he had lived to eat and didn't know any different. Eventually, it reached the point where he couldn't stand to eat anymore cooked food, the more he ate, the more bloated and sick he felt. Now he's gone completely raw and shares his knowledge of fitness with camps and talks.

If you eat cows' meat that has undergone that kind of experience, you are consuming a product that is tainted with the negative experience of the animal from which it came.
There are a lot of negative effects associated with the consumption of red meat, and this is why more and more people are now giving up red meat and moving to healthier foods like fish, free-range chicken, or better yet, plant-based proteins like spirulina or soy products like soy milk and tofu. |
| Every time I would look at that I would get grossed out and think to myself, "Gee, is this really what I want to eat for the rest of my life? This sliced up chunk of a dead cow?" And the answer was, "No." So it didn't take very long before I didn't want any red meat, and now I can't imagine eating it.
That's one way to get rid of red meat in your diet, but there are many other ways and I encourage you to experiment and see how you'd like to approach it. |

When consumers eat sodium nitrite in popular meat products, nitrosamines are formed in the body where they promote the growth of various cancers, including colorectal cancer and pancreatic cancer, says Adams.
"Sodium nitrite is a dangerous, cancer-causing ingredient that has no place in the human food supply," he explains. The USDA actually tried to ban sodium nitrite in the 1970's, but was preempted by the meat processing industry, which relies on the ingredient as a color fixer to make foods look more visually appealing. |

More importantly, however, I've also received many comments from people who say they are no longer going to eat processed meat products at all. They're either opting for fresh meats or thinking about going vegetarian. I have not yet heard from Kraft Foods or Jimmy Dean, although there's not much they can say since these are accurate, honest pictures of the products they're making and selling right now (the photos were not altered). |

You are what you eat, remember?) In fact, this part of it is not so difficult to confirm. You can go out and question a thousand people, find out who's more peaceful versus who's more angry about anything in the world or in their own lives, and you'll find that the really angry people tend to eat a lot of red meat, while those who try to propose solutions, are all about helping people and who give more than they take, are people who don't eat red meat. Vegetarians tend to be happier, more pleasant, less aggressive people than meat eaters, and for years, people have wondered why. |

If you eat nothing but a plant-based diet, you will be far healthier than if you were to introduce any amount of meat into your diet. All the information out there about people having nutritional deficiencies on a vegetarian diet is misguided and flat-out wrong. Unless, of course, for people are living on what I call a "junk food vegetarian diet," which is soda, chips and vegetarian processed food. Of course that diet causes nutritional deficiencies. But not a health-minded vegetarian diet. Even vitamin B12 is simple to get in sufficient quantities if you put your mind to it. |

I don't eat anything for breakfast or dinner other than the delicious juices I make once a day. It's the first thing I reach for in the morning, and the last sip I take before going to bed. Juice Feasting has given me more time, better health, greatly improved brain function and the confidence in knowing that I'm eating the very best diet I can possibly eat.
Some might call it a raw foods diet, or a raw food vegan diet. I think those terms can freak people out. I don't consider myself a vegan, since I sometimes eat cooked fish. |

This is very interesting, because animals will eat just about any kind of food you can imagine, and if the birds or rabbits don't eat it, the ants usually carry it away. But this stuff just sat out there for two solid days, which I've never seen before. Usually things disappear within a matter of hours, but this textured vegetable protein appears to be non-food from the perspective of animals.
I have a great deal of trust in nature. Animals have good survival skills. |
