Others may still appeal to more hard-core fitness enthusiasts and bodybuilders, which can be an intimidating atmosphere for the average person trying to get into shape. If you are uncomfortable or intimidated by the atmosphere or by other members, you will not use the club in the long run and it will be a waste of your money. If you went to a restaurant for dinner and you hated the service and the atmosphere, would you return?

| It dwelt with the empty space, and produced the atmosphere which is above us.
The atmosphere which floats above the earth, The great firmament above us, dwelt with the early dawn, And the moon sprang forth; The atmosphere above us, dwelt with the glowing sky, And thence proceeded the sun; Moon and sun were thrown up above, as the chief eyes of heaven: Then the Heavens became light: the early dawn, the early day, The mid-day: the blaze of day from the sky. The sky above dwelt with Hawaiki, and produced land. |

Inside the shelter there was also a medical clinic, a dental clinic, a psychiatric clinic (with doctors, substance abuse counselors, and case managers), a hair salon, a TV and game room, an extremely popular smoking room, and a once distinguished, now dilapidated oak-paneled dining room with an oddly collegiate atmosphere. However, what detracted from the atmosphere of conviviality and fellowship was the fact that the men hardly spoke to one another at meals. The residents of the Barracks were far more likely to talk to themselves or sit in a sort of dull unmoving oblivion as they ate. |

Hairsprays containing ethyl alcohol (ethanol, listed as SD alcohol followed by a number), hydrocarbons, isobutane, and butane all release vapors into the air that generate ozone in the lower atmosphere. While other human-made pollutants deplete the ozone in the upper atmosphere, emitting VOCs into the lower atmosphere produces an additional ozone layer that traps heat and ultraviolet radiation nearer to the earth's surface, adding to the levels of smog in cities caused by automobiles and other industrial pollution. |

So it has water, it has sunlight and it has an atmosphere even today (although that atmosphere is certainly not of the density of Earth's atmosphere).
There's little doubt in my mind that we will find evidence of past life on Mars. In fact, I'm even optimistic about the possibility of finding living microbes on Mars today. We've seen extremophiles on planet Earth: microbes that can survive and thrive in extreme environments such as boiling water and the frozen tundra. So we know that microbes are capable of thriving under environmental conditions that we once thought could never support life. |

THINK GLOBALLY, ACT LOCALLY"
Today's concerns with regard to global warming as a result of a stronger greenhouse effect (the rise in the earth's temperature when certain gases in the atmosphere trap energy from the sun) highlight the negative planetary effects of large-scale industrial production. The greenhouse effect is a normal part of earth-sun dynamics; without it the earth would be too cold for humans (and many other species) to live. Certain gases in the atmosphere, including water vapor, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, and methane, trap heat from the sun to keep the earth warm. |

Worldwide, about 78 billion metric tons of carbon once held as soil organic matter have been lost to the atmosphere. A third of the total carbon dioxide buildup in the atmosphere since the industrial revolution has come not from fossil fuels but from degradation of soil otganic matter.
Improvement of agricultural soils presents an opportunity to sequestet large amounts of carbon dioxide to slow global warming—and help feed a growing population. |

The notion is basically this—dumping billions of tons of iron solution into the ocean will stimulate massive plant growth that will suck enough carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere to counter the effects of all the C02 humans are releasing into the atmosphere by burning fossil fuels. A test of the theory in 1995 transformed a patch of ocean near the Galapagos Islands from sparkling blue to murky green overnight, as the iron triggered the growth of massive amounts of phytoplankton.)
Because iron is so important, most medical research has focused on populations who don't get enough iron. |

In the late 1950s, Dave Fultz at the University of Chicago built a mock-up of the earth's atmosphere using rotating fluids that simulated the behavior of atmospheric gases. Sure enough, the fluids moved in stable, repeating patterns—unless, that is, they were disturbed. Then, even the smallest interference could produce massive changes in the currents. It wasn't proof by a long shot, but it certainly was a powerful suggestion that the real atmosphere was susceptible to significant change. Other scientists developed mathematical models that indicated similar possibilities for rapid shifts. |

Asthmatics tend to be sensitive to various types of irritants in the atmosphere that can trigger a contraction in the airways. Common irritants and triggers include pet fur, feathers, hair, dander, saliva, house dust mites, perfumes and other fragranced products, environmental pollutants such as car fumes, cigarette smoke, and cold and foggy atmospheres, plus exercise, stress, and anxiety. The number of cases of asthma is steadily increasing worldwide, especially among children, although around half of the children with asthma eventually grow out of it. |

The heart protector or pericardium is the official of the "pleasures of the people" and is in charge of protecting the heart by creating an atmosphere of happiness and well-being. This official screens out thoughts or images that would be detrimental to the heart. All intimate relationships are monitored by the heart protector, making sure that the heart is fed emotionally and spiritually by these relationships. The triple heater or triple warmer is the official "controller of temperatures," which creates an atmosphere of shared warmth among all the officials, keeping the house evenly tempered. |

I also sense an awful atmosphere around me: that kind of atmosphere that arises when people are very stressed and work without any sense or feeling for the person they do surgery on. I feel very cold and start to shiver. The feeling is of utter rejection, the most awful I ever felt. I think current rejection sets it off. All the time I feel how everything that happens to me is entirely wrong and how I cannot do anything. This feeling, "I can't do anything," I acted out in the reliving for a long time by not even getting the idea that I could do something like take pills to dampen my pain. |

As new evidence was discovered and old evidence was reexamined, the scientific consensus evolved. By the 1970s there was general agreement that the temperature shifts and climate changes leading into and out of ice ages could occur over mere hundreds of years. Thousands were out, hundreds were in. Centuries were the new rapid. |

AIR PURIFIERS AND ASTHMA
Air purifiers significantly reduce pollutants in the atmosphere. Anything that will rid the environment of dust, pollens, fumes, tobacco smoke, cooking smells, mildew, airborne particles and the like will reduce potential asthma triggers and thus help people with asthma.
Diagnostic Devices
Bio-electronic regulatory techniques (BER)
The idea behind these is that electrical activity in the body can be measured by bio-electronic regulatory techniques (BER). |
| Again because there are lots of negative ions in the atmosphere! Fresh seaside and mountain air are rich in negative particles, whereas city air contains few ions and any negative ions that might be around are quickly destroyed by pollution, central heating, air conditioning, electrical appliances, synthetic fibres and dust.
Environments low in negative ions or high positive-ion weather conditions like dry, hot winds sap our energy, make us feel tired and depressed and can trigger an attack of asthma or hay fever. |
| The steam in the atmosphere will loosen the airways and the child will begin to be able to breathe normally again. If breathing does not improve rapidly, however, take the child to hospital where they can administer an adrenalin injection that will expand the airways.
Once at hospital, a baby or small child with breathing problems is always looked after immediately—there's no long wait. If the diagnosis is asthma you will find that a mask is put over the child's face and they will inhale a vaporised medication for a period of time. |

In this contentious atmosphere, the epithet of 'quack' was reserved no longer for those who practised medicine solely for lucre but was freely applied by the proponents of any one system to the proponents of all others. The essential problem, as I will illustrate in subsequent chapters, was that the theories of the body on which medical systems like homeopathy, allopathy, chiropractic, and osteopathy were based were mutually exclusive. One could not readily abide by the rule that like cured like and yet accept the argument that all diseases stemmed from disorders of the skeletal system. |

His clinics were situated 5,000 feet above sea level, the high altitude allowing his patients to catch a lot more UV light than was possible at the lower levels of the atmosphere. Dr. Rollier used the UV rays of sunlight to treat diseases such as tuberculosis (TB), rickets, smallpox, lupus vulgaris (skin tuberculosis), and wounds. He followed in the footsteps of Danish physician Dr. Niels Finsen, who won a Nobel Prize in 1903 for his treatment of TB using ultraviolet light. Rollier found that sunbathing early in the morning, in conjunction with a nutritious diet, produced the best effects. |

But mesmerism had not been targeted for investigation because it was scientifically suspect—many established medical techniques lacked experimental evidence of their mechanism and few had more than anecdotal/empirical evidence of efficacy—Mesmerism was investigated because it existed in an atmosphere of sexual tension and titillation. |
| In this heated atmosphere, the idea that individuals—and particularly working-class women—could become the arbiters and apparatus of medical experiment was potentially subversive, and provocative in the extreme. In 1837, Thomas Wakley, editor of the Lancet medical journal, finally took direct action to address the growing controversy and damaging rumours. Wakley, through his prominent, often-cantankerous, and highly readable weekly journal, had been among Elliotson's strongest supporters, and a consistent advocate of medical and social innovation. |

To confirm that the polyphenols in green tea are absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, a group of researchers from the Department of Nutritional Science and Dietetics at the University of Nebraska developed a fifty-six-day study using ten healthy adults in a laboratory atmosphere. • Keep the qi fresh. Ultimately, feng shui is about managing the flow of qi for the best advantage of people within a given environment. In Feng Shui: Secrets That Change Your Life, Li Pak Tin and Helen Yeap say that qi is "the animating life force that is everywhere; it permeates your home, physical surroundings, the rivers, roads, trees, and all people." The goal of feng shui is to constructively employ this qi and to "disperse, disrupt, or remove obstructions" in its free flow. |

Most people with asthma will recognise car exhaust fumes as a trigger, but it is not generally recognised that aircraft burn enormous amounts of fuel, and their exhaust is spread throughout the atmosphere. People who live near airports may be breathing enough aircraft pollution for this to be a significant asthma trigger.
Pollutants from fertilisers, pesticides, detergent washing powders and industrial wastes foul rivers, lakes, reservoirs and our domestic water. Then chemicals such as chlorine, fluoride and aluminium are added to our water supplies to complete the health-destroying cocktail. |
