 The father related a most incredible story: Soon after starting Accutane, his son told the family that the deceased rocker Jim Morrison was talking to him through monkeys and telling him to commit suicide on april 15, 2004. When the boy finished relating the story, his parents checked him into a locked psychiatric facility on april 14, 2004, a sound decision in my professional opinion. After he stopped taking Accutane his psychosis and suicidal thinking stopped, and he continues to be free of symptoms to this day. |

 As of april 2006, the American Heart Association's (AHA) Nutrition Committee no longer recommends eating soy to lower cholesterol. The FDA is currently reviewing its policy on soy health claims. And a recent article by Harvard Women's Health Watch (April 2006) was titled "Soy: Not So Miraculous?"

The Transcendental Meditation organization has long held a similar view of meditation—that a certain percentage of regular meditators is required to exert an effect on misery indices such as the crime rate.

| In 1978, the CPSC finally decided to do something about benzene, trailing the other agencies in regard to this substance as well. In april of that year, it proposed a ban on benzene for all household products, including rubber cement, whether the benzene was added intentionally or was introduced as a contaminant that constituted 0.1 percent or more of the product. According to the CPSC press release, of fifty-two rubber cement makers it had contacted, only one still intentionally added benzene.56 Two years later, in 1980, the CPSC had still not put the proposed ban into force. |

| It all started in Columbine, Colorado, when Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold massacred their way into the history books on april 20, 1999 by killing 12 and wounding 23 people. The mainstream media virtually glorified the event, yet utterly failed to report the connection between violence in young men and treatment with psychiatric drugs. (Both Harris and Klebold were taking antidepressant drugs.)
It's a little known fact that antidepressant drugs have never been tested on children nor approved by the FDA for use on children. |

Cancer doctors have hopes that, some day, breast cancer can be prevented before it occurs. In 1998, Tamoxifen became the first drug employed to prevent breast cancer.
Women aren't buying into the idea of taking Tamoxifen to prevent breast cancer. They are wary of side effects. [Journal National Cancer Institute 96: 1410-12, 2004]
In a study where women at risk for breast cancer were offered Tamoxifen, only 43% elected to take it, mostly out of fear of side effects. |
