STD infections rise to record levels among U.S. citizens thanks to the liberal 'sexual revolution' and hook-up apps

Sexually transmitted diseases

(NaturalNews) A single, misguided ideology, embedded in one's heart and mind, can set their life on a course toward emotional discord, empty pursuits of temporary satisfaction, brokenness and utter shame. People are writing the code of their life with their thoughts and emotions, drawing near to their heart's desires. A mindset where "everything goes" where there is no moral standard in intimate relationships, can set a person on a destructive course of hollow relationships, broken promises, mistrust and even greater incidence of sexually transmitted disease.

What kind of sail do you set for yourself in your relationships? What are your views on self-control, family, patience, love, marriage and commitment? Your beliefs have a profound effect on the situations and outcomes you will experience. Many people sell themselves short, ditching the soulfully fulfilling aspects of intimate love for a quick hook-up that promises immediate satisfaction.

Feelings may come and go, beckoning a sexual interaction, but how important might it be to lead our hearts with integrity instead of following whatever fleeting feelings we may have? The attractions we have with others don't have to propel us to our animalistic instincts. We are beings of self-control. These attractions can endow us with the opportunity of friendship, teaching us wonderful life lessons as we go along. In the end, our intimacy and sexual energy can be saved for the love that is promising, committed. Love is patient. It's not a temporary sensation, nor some kind of sexual satisfaction reaped in the moment. Love endures. It is not filled with envy and lust. Love is long lasting.

The sacred parts of love get left behind in today's liberal culture, where "everything goes," where instant gratification trumps soulfully-fulfilling intimacy.

It's easy to observe: that the free love "sexual revolution" ideology of liberal culture destroys what love really stands for, making for abrupt, aimless relationships that fuel distrust and perpetual heartbreak, while welcoming greater incidence of sexually transmitted diseases.

STD rates climbing in America

The Centers for Disease Control reports that cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis are at an all time high, with reported cases rising for all STDs in 2014. There are now 1.4 million reported cases of chlamydia in the US, which is equivalent to 456 cases for every 100,000 people.

The CDC stats list gonorrhea cases up 5 percent from 2013, a total of 350,062 reported cases in the US. For contagious forms of syphilis, the rate has jumped dramatically, up 15 percent from the previous year – now totaling over 20,000 cases. The government has reported that increases in rates of syphilis primarily occur in men's homosexual and bisexual communities.

Most gonorrhea and chlamydia infections were reported by 15- to 24-year-olds, an ongoing trend that shows how uneducated young people are in the realm of love, sex and relationships.

The CDC's Dr. Jonathan Mermin commented, "America's worsening STD epidemic is a clear call for better diagnosis, treatment, and prevention."

Prevention of STDs: Now, that's an important topic to consider. True prevention of STDs would mean teaching young people about the commitment of loving relationships and setting new principles in intimacy. This is where the liberal mindset of "everyone's going to do it; everyone should get free condoms" misleads many young people in both heart and mind.

This deception can be replaced by teaching a healthier perspective on what building long-lasting, committed relationships really means, how self-control demonstrates real character, and why it is important for sexual energy to be regarded as sacred for a more holy, fulfilling and lifelong union.
