(NaturalNews) Lavender, also under the scientific names of lavandula angustifolia or lavandula officinalis, is a sensational herb. It is well known for its commercial use in a wide array of products and very appreciated for its fragrance, but in order to fully benefit from it, it is best to use lavender as an essential oil with the help of a diffuser.

Mr. Bruce Tainio from Tainio Technology created and constructed a product he called the BT3 frequency monitoring system. Through his machine, he was then able to get the bio-electrical frequencies of mainly plant nutrients and essential oils. Mr. Tainio was basically continuing the research in regards to the correlation between certain frequencies and overall health, initially started by Dr. Royal R. Rife many decades ago.

Mr. Tainio measured the frequencies of many essential oils during his research and lavender came second on his list at 118 MHz, as it seems that only the rose or Rosa damascene essential oil was significantly higher at 320 MHz. For comparison purposes based on his findings, fresh produce had a frequency up to 15 MHz, dry herbs from 12 to 22 MHz and fresh herbs from 20 to 27 MHz. It's really no surprise that processed and canned foods had absolutely no noticeable frequencies at all.

Mr. Tainio also found a way to calibrate a human's vibrational frequency by taking measures on different areas of the body and then averaging those scores together. His findings indicate that the frequency of a healthy human being shows a range of 62 to 68 MHz.

Dr. Richard Gerber, author of Vibrational Medicine, believes that one of the easiest ways to reverse dysfunctional energetic patterns in our bodies is to administer therapeutic doses in the form of vibrational medicines. Researcher Jim Oschman, who wrote Energy Medicine, says that therapeutic grade essential oils induce frequencies that can naturally restore the healthy frequencies of our bodies, while pharmaceuticals and synthetic oils do not.

So what are some of the known health benefits of lavender ?

The lavender essential oil delivers a soothing aroma which makes it an appropriate tonic for the nerves and various anxiety problems. It is considered a viable alternative to help treat conditions such migraines, headaches, depression, nervous tension and emotional stress. The lavender aroma diminishes nervous exhaustion, restlessness and eases mental activity which paves the way to better sleep.

A research project was conducted by psychologists from the Wesleyan University, using thirty one test subjects. The individuals were asked to inhale lavender essential oil before going to bed and then simply inhale distilled water the following night. The scientists monitored their sleep patterns by using brain scans and soon realized that the individuals slept more soundly after inhaling the lavender oil. The subjects also reported feeling more energetic the next morning.

Lavender essential oil also displays promising results in treating hair loss, in particular with patients suffering from alopecia, an autoimmune condition where the hair follicles are rejected by the body. In Scotland, a study showed that 40% of alopecia test subjects reported an increase in hair growth after regularly rubbing lavender essential oil on their scalp.
